Faye, don't worry about how long the build takes, it takes as long as it takes, enjoy it have fun, and even though you may feel so excited to finish it and be done and hear it come to life, (I know this feeling) it tends to make one rush which in turn can cause mistakes. Take your time, be patient, and you will (are) do an awesome job for your machine baby, lol, but when it's complete and you hit that ignition and hear that child speak the reward will be just beautiful and well worth the wait! I'm cheering you on, you got this, and like you, it's going to be awesome!!! I did a complete engine overhaul, new radiator, plugs, head gasket valve checks the works on my Ram 96' V8 Magnum 360 (5.9) and it took a while, mainly as it was during the pandemic and I had to wait for parts like the radiator and such, but I'm also partially disabled with a nerve disease in both legs so on what I call good days I'd work and there are many days I couldn't, but I was so anxious to just get it all back together, it took almost 2 years, but finally did, it sounds amazing, but then lol my transmission died lol, of course, so I'll be rebuilding the 46RE myself and another journey will begin. Sorry for the long comment, but it's worth it. Danny is great like the cool Dad/Uncle we all need!!! Always a thumbs up from me on your channel and on his. Hope this finds you both well today!!!

Great video as always, and educational as well. I see Danny is showing you the ropes in the machining trade and as you know when wrenching you always have to have that THINKING cap on. Can't wait to see that engine in the car fire up !! I have learned a lot about Toyota manufacturing of their vehicles from you and Dan. I am a Toyota owner as well, 2003 Tacoma 4x4 Extra Cab and have done all of the wrench pulling on it since Day 1 with the help of the 3 volume set of Toyota Factory Manuals. Have learned lots of short cuts from Danny as well. Keep up the good work. Ttyl

I love how based Danny Sinoz and Faye are. Came for car content subscribed for based and car-pilled content. I particularly love how you and Danny try to teach the viewers about just about everything you do. I have learned more about random car stuff to machining car parts in just a few videos than I have looking to learn about specific car stuff! I love how I came to learn about a dipstick and am learning some machining tips, welding tips, random car facts etc. I love this content! I now know how badly I need a lathe.

Excellent work on this engine build! It's such a shame that almost no dealer workshops have lathes. I'm not a machinist by any means, but having a lathe in an auto shop is a godsend, especially for fixing stripped threads with a thread file.

Hey Faye, already looks like a lot of fun can’t wait. I wish we had a Live stream coming up I got a question: Front hub bearing going out on my four-wheel-drive 2019 Silverado not sure if it’s the driver side or passenger did the usual check both by hand they feel fine at 20 MPH it starts to sing so listening to it as someone drives by at 20 MPH you can’t hear which side it is matter of fact you can’t hear it at all you can only hear it inside the cab. So here’s the question driving straight you can hear it if I turn to the left the sound stays the same if I turn to the right it goes away so am I correct in thinking it is the right side that’s making the noise meaning when I turn right it takes Weight of the right hub ( or at least I think so) Wondering what you Think. I can easily change them both as amazingly they’re not that expensive but I’d like to figure out which one it is and if the truck had a 100,000 miles or so I would just change them both but it only has 33,000 so I’m hoping it’s just a freak thing anyways faye have a great one🐔🐔🐔👍

Unfortunately for the money we pay for aftermarket parts that claim to say they are replacement parts for your stock ones.......9 times out of 10 that's never the case without something just like this coming into the equation and requiring you to figure out how to modify your brand new parts to work with your other aftermarket parts or stock part. Its not like people think that these parts are direct bolt on replacements! Their everything else BUT! 😉 Great job 👏 Evaluate, Improvise and Overcome the Marine Corps way of life!

Already made it! But no SS braided - I don't like them because it's hard to tell when they're getting old or need replacing, and are difficult to service or replace on the road. I prefer a good ol fashioned rubber hose!!!

I mean, I regularly cannot consider a job finished until I have done it the hard way, found a harder way and achieved beautiful utopia....only to then see I could have skipped all the dang steps, and basically slapped permatex and prayer on it, maybe a tap in a drillchuck and just sending it.... cuz If im gonne work harder, then you know I gotta risk snapping a tap, its the only way to prove my worthiness to the mechanical gods... Also, if I had a media blaster and a toolroom lathe, Id be turning everything for no dang reason. Cuz makin chips is second only to hot metal glue guns, which can only be surpassed by threading on a lathe, without swearing ya brains out. but when it all comes together, the precise machined goodness settles my agitated mechanical frustrations. Im about the *stop the project, to set up several machines, make a custom thing otherwise Ill be anoyed forever, then return to the orignal task with a non duplicable part, that only I required, thats always overbuilt/machined/sanded/painted/lightly snuggled* cuz ya gotta, thats how new mechanical things find out we love them, even when shouting profanities. alas, the reason Drag Week events exist. I hate this dang car, but shes fast when she runs. This speaks to my zen.... also, at home totally rock the zip tied danger finder 3000 ziptieing a power tool trigger down, setting it in the vise and doing all the dirty things every shop teacher says not to. but a bench grinder, does not specify whether its a side by side grinder, an angle grinder with A zip tie is the advanced safety squint evolution of a normal benchgrinder. i look forward to having no idea what this comment was talking about, its likely time to take the rambling insanity to sleep. word, yalls,.
