Thin japanese nibs (EF-F) are poorly written on Rhodia - because it is heavily glued paper, it is as plastic - it does not absorb ink. Her paper is suitable for heavily pourable pens.

You are either german, or are the only english youtuber that pronounces Leuchtturm right :D whatever, thank you for the comparison :)

Thank you so much, this video was so helpful to me! I'm trying to make a final decision on if I want to order a Leuchtturm 1917 or a Rhodia, and with the things you've pointed out I think the Leuchtturm is a better fit for me right now, but I would love to acquire both in the future. Anyways, thank you. You shared exactly the things I was trying to figure out!

Great review thanks. Even though you say, "The paper is not quite as good." Which tells me nothing. Was one more textured? Anyway - Very helpful. thank you. :)

Rhodia paper is a bit smoother since it’s coated. Will perform a bit better with fountain pens meaning since it’s heavier it will have less ghosting and less bleed through with broader nibs/wetter inks. Hope that helps.

I use fountain pens, so Rhodia is the only choice. Too many nibs and too many inks cause bleeding on the Leuchtturm 1917 paper.

Really? I've gone to a couple of Leuchtturms with fountainpens of different nibs and inks and never had any bleedthrough. Ghosting though, but I can live with that.

Have you tried the Goulet pen co notebook with tomoe river paper? Also this maybe to personnel but your accent sound slightly european with American overtones? Thanks love your reviews

Hi Matthew! Thank you! I actually did a review of tomoe river paper in the "Seven Seas Writer" video. Feel free to check that out! And yes, you are spot on with the accent! :)

I was very disappointed by the Rhodia. The Rhodia has very badly aged. He lost pieces. I made a video if you want to watch.
