11:44 to be fair in coc the progression is way more than 5%, just thinking about the monolith, the spell tower and +5 level to every hero. Th difference are still very impactful, a th 14 will struggle quite a bit to 3 star a th 15, but since coc developers know how to build a great game, they still made the game playable by lower th, not to mention that in coc you grind to have NEW content, not to have the same exact interactions as before...

Also the whole point of coc is to upgrade your town hall, buildings and troops to get more loot to get even more upgrades: that's the point of the game but for clash royale, the goal is to have fun in pvp battles and overlevelled cards from one side make the game unfair and therefore not fun anymore destroying the whole idea of the game

The thing is when comparing cr to coc. Not only does coc include lots of new features with each new level, they also balance previous levels so progression is faster. Theoretically it takes the same amount of time for a new player to get to max level now as it did back when th9 was the max level. CR is like fuck it let's make it thrice as long, making it pretty much impossible for new players to ever catch up.

Yup. I believe the time they aim for no matter what is around 5 years (if you play consistently, always have your builders going) Granted, unless you pay you’ll never fully max out your base, but there’s not much to do if you max so it’s not really a penalty

My calculations shows that you will get 3000000 golds by finishing your chest cycle in arena 20 (4000 hours 500 chests) , so by spending 300 gems to unlock chests you can get 37500 golds and also you will get equivalent of 1200 elite cards . Consider that if someone can't play tournaments well, they can atleast get some chests and use their gems to unlock them.

Evolution Bats could work like this: Exactly the same as normal bats, but with 1 extra. When they die, they drop a small disease area, kind of like firecracker. That could ironically last for 1.9 seconds.
