Kudos to the best band in the world. I got hooked on these cats on the World Macine album and have loved them ever since! Email their ass and get them to play the states. I had the priviledge of seeing them once with Madonna way back when. Damn I love these guys!

I asked Mark King in Birmingham why Level 42 this song never played live. He could'nt explain it. I hope Level 42 will play it in 2020. What a great song!

No other band is like L42. They are completely original. They have remained my all time fave group since I first heard them in 1988. This is amazing since I have well over 7000 CDs. I would take a bullet for these guys, Lol.

the best ballade of level 42 ever! the play a melody with bass is awesome. mark shows that a bass is not 'only' an background instrument !!! check out also the demo-version of this song on the 2000er cd "true colours"...the basslines are awesome... a song to sing very loud in the car... ;-)))

On all of their Albums I don't think that there's a bad track on any of them. It's a shame that talent such as theirs isn't at the forefront of the music industry anymore. At least us Level 42 fans know where to find excellence such as this and can still watch them out there doing what they do best - live performances. Thanks for posting.

Not really. In funk the drums and the bass are the main instruments. You can hear it on all L42-albums that the bassline of MK is the driving force. Any friends of me meaning that a bass is a background instrument and they are impressed as I shown the basslines of MK. They are meaning that a bass could'nt play a "melody". This song is a good example for playing a melody, in my opinion. Thumbs up for this song!!! ;-))
