I recently had something unexpectedly happen and I didn’t tell my family and it passed with a great resolution. Actually the best outcome. I am learning not to tell no one nothing not even the bad stuff that happens bc they are usually happy to hear it’s happening to you.

I read an excellent tip from an etiquette book many years ago. If someone asks a very personal question you are to respond kindly with "Why would you like to know?". In my experience this usually renders the nosey enquirer speechless, floundering or huffy and then you can just move on with your day

I have people in my family who are like this and I just don’t talk to them often anymore. Because they go back to other family members and tell everything. It’s really sad that people don’t have a life of there own where they are so busy trying to figure out what your doing. It’s annoying.

I am not in favor of create lies about other people (that is gossip) but i can tell a lie about myself and that would't hurt nobody. A lie is like a oxigen mask especialy dealing with relatives and they invasive questions. I lie to protect my self. Because if they don't wanna hear lies they shouldn't ask personal questions in the first place.
