Just started Qelbree as an alternative to Methylphenidate (something that actually worked). I wish I never asked about this drug. The side effects are so bad iv been in bed all day feeling sick and cant sleep at night. This made my symptoms of depression worse and to top it all off, I have no energy do the things I use to cope with depression; things that bring meaning to my life. I hate this drug so much. If you are on it, good luck. Update: I am no longer taking Qelbree and I am doing much better.

Qelbree was one of the WORST psych meds I've ever taken, anxious, depressed and suicidal all in one capsule, ugh!

those side effects sound gnarly. Can't really tell much from those academic studies statistical figures- the drug is so new. I'm coming off Effexor which works on norepinephrine as well as serotonin (not for ADHD)- way worse than Dexamphetamine both in withdrawal and for addressing challenges (which was not helpful long term for me prescribed for ADHD). If you like the feeling of being electrocuted than take Effexor.

Thanks for the video. My doctor wanted me to start qelbree soon instead of stimulants and I was getting scared to try it. This makes me feel a bit better to at least give it try.

Great presentation, although some of the terminology would typically not be understood by non-medical persons. Perhaps you may have some listeners who would understand the medical terminology used, but presenting it in ‘simple English’ is only a suggestion. Thank you for such well presented video. I am now well informed.

I started taking Qelbree 5 weeks ago. I have never felt so much piece and being able to be productive in my life. Unfortunately I've been having issues getting refills from my provider and when run out I completely crashed. Due to that I'm going to talk to my psychiatrist to see if can go with another option. Not because Qelbree is bad for me but because of how difficult it is to get it at the moment. No point investing in it if I'm potentially having to risk the crash after running out of medication cause of how difficult my insurance it.

You should be able to get a 90 day refill. But maybe your provider will not do this. Aim high and acheive your goals! GL

Does qelbree release dopamine Im confused i have heard different answers?
@Blue-Spirit
@Blue-Spirit 2 ай бұрын
Not directly but YES. As explained, It inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine which also blocks reuptake of dopamine. This increases the amount of Norepinephrine and dopamine that will be rejected by the pre-synaptic neuron, and received by the post-synaptic neuron. 0:31

That's something you would need to speak with your doctor about. One of the side effects of this medication is an increase heart rate.

What makes something addictive is how quickly the drug delivers its reward. This drug makes you feel like you are getting run over by a fright train for a week before any noticeable positive effects are seen. If you popped one right now the placebo would do its work until the fatigue kicks in. Then your a zombie for a week before anything good happens. This will not get someone high, it will just give you a stomach ache or something worse. This is the nature of reuptake inhibitors. There is not a single person on earth that can abuse this drug without it being a highly regrettable experience. Unless of course they are some kind of mosaicist.
