Hi don't cut the cinch. I own 1933s and two 37s and that's the reason why I love them.

And you doing have problems with it when you sit?
@richardcartwright50194 жыл бұрын
Nah never had a problem. I brought a pair of 33s rigid in 32 hoping for shrinkage. But nothing in the waist. Thank the lord for the cinch. Also both 1890 and 1933 Jean's have buttons for braces and that's another reason why I love em

@@CeeAreDee I owe a pair of Levi´s Devotees 1901 and they also have the cinch. I´m more into vintage heritage style and that´s why I love this detail on the pair. Anyway, this is the first pair of jeans I have had with a functional cinch back, all I can tell for sure is that they´re something quite special! It gives you a whole new fit experience. I personally would never cut it off. Love your channel, btw!

@@richardcartwright5019 Hi, man. As I wrote in my comment below, I have this pair of Levi´s Devotees. They´re quite rare and that leads me to think that some people might try to make falsifications. I´m 95% sure mine are the real deal, I´ve compared all the details on the jeans with pictures I´ve found online, but the buckle of the cinch back still looks suspicious to me. It doesn´t look like the one in this video. It has the label "Prima" on it. Do you know anything about this?
@CeeAreDee4 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, thank you :) For the moment I am going to keep the cinch and see how it goes. I don't think I will need it for the fit, but let's see when they stretch out a little, things might change. I also have the 1901s, I love the jeans! Those are the ones I cut the cinch off however. The thing was, they were one of the first runs from LVC and the buckle they used was terrible! It snapped after a few wears just leaving me with two tails. So, SNIP :). Let's see how these ones go. The buckle is better for sure.

Original Levi’s selvedge jeans are the rarest selvedge for some.

Very true, Big E Levi's are the premium of vintage jeans.

Will do my best. Check out the one on the Levi's Vintage Clothing AW 20 collection I just dropped :)

Anyone know any alternatives to these? I like the style but the price seems a bit high to me, thanks!
@CeeAreDee4 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, in this style you will not find too many options at a lower price point. They are a very particular style and not often remade. Try looking on ebay for bargains.

@@CeeAreDee I found some silimar pants from bronson, but they've been out of stock in my size for forever and a half, think you could ever review some of the bronson stuff?

I don’t understand why Levi’s makes selvedge the standard for purists and makes the faded jeans the lifestyle version for average customers
@SeptienPatterson4 жыл бұрын
@sf2explus you have a point, it does take more time to make selvedge denim and you only get a small roll. Also, if Levi's only selvedge denim people would buy less frequently because of the quality.
@CeeAreDee4 жыл бұрын
sf2explus kinda nailed the answer already. Given the number of jeans being produced by Levi's alone, I don't think demand could be met if all denim was selvedge. And he's totally right, the price tag on Levi's Vintage stuff is kinda nuts, you really do pay over the odds for LVC. You pay for the name which in many cases I find horrible. But there is an irrational nostalgia and fascination for me with the Levi's brand.

Hmm, might do something on bootcut jeans as a whole. They are making a comeback which is interesting.
