Levitaz Foil unboxing, 2020 Wing Foil Test preparation

Thanks Robert for testing these foils, looking forward to hearing about the differences. I run a Slingshot Infinity 84 with their large back wing. I read a lot of Wing Foilers are using Axis foils too and have read some good things about them. I used to run a long fuselage and 90 cm mast but found I prefer the 71 cm mast length and shorter fuselage. I believe the 71 cm is more responsive to smaller swells, plus less worry about hitting coral, plus easy to get in and out of the water with the board on land. The shorter fuselage is easier to pump. I have not had any issues getting over the chop with the shorter mast or foiling out. One of the wing foilers tried the Ozone 6 today in Kailua in fairly light wind and was happy about the performance. I think with the light winds in Kailua the size 6 wings are going to be popular, we had 3 size 6 wings on the water earlier today.

Thanks for the detailed comment. Yes I have been hearing good things about the Axis foils and will try to get one to include in the testing. I have been using a 30” mast (76 cm) and really like it. I’m concerned about hitting bottom with the longer mast but am hoping it will be a smoother ride at higher speeds in choppy conditions. Regarding big wings, I have not tried the 6m Ozone yet but found that i like using the smallest wing possible for the wind conditions.
