I believe the cornhole game probably got its name from the "bean bags" being filled with corn kernels instead of beans. So you try to throw your corn into the hole. Due to my age and condition, I can no longer play horseshoes very well and have actually switched to cornhole games when we have BBQ's and friends over.

@@edwardlulofs444 The shortsightedness of materialism always mystifies me. You can't take it with you. We're all gonna die. Now, if there is an afterlife, you don't have to believe in it to experience it after you die. What will your life review reveal? How much you screwed others over to get more money? Somehow I don't think that will make you very happy. People who have had near-death experiences say we feel the joy we have caused others in this life as our own joy. We also experience the pain we have caused others as our own pain. It behooves us, therefore, to cause as much joy in this world as we can, helping ourselves and others. It couldn't hurt even if you don't believe anything about an afterlife.

Thank you, Lewis! 🙂 I agree - how dare this man have the gall to propose that he should get anything but some sort of punishment when HE is the one who made the choice to rush to attack someone else? It's delusional. Kudos to you for sticking up for your fellow comedian and for their/our right to free speech. We must not allow ourselves to become physically violent because of something that someone else has said. We have to be better than that!! We just have to. (If you think you have a case, then take that person to court.) But physical violence is not the answer. You are so clear-headed, and I appreciate you. 🙂 I know we don't actually know each other personally, but I love you. ❤️

And, of course I’d be fine with Lewis leaving a little coffee in the trash. But, is he aware of how little these workers get paid? I made my own choices in life. But, I wish there was more respect for manual/ physical laborers. It’s hard work for low pay. Each person has a story; don’t presume to know mine. Or others’. We had dreams too. Wow. That’s a rant.

As a yarn crafter, I can say it does make a small amount of sense for craft stores to release holiday items a few months early and put them on sale. People who knit, sew, crochet or otherwise create different handmade decor items and gifts appreciate the head start to be able to make finished items in time for whichever occasion. Halloween is a big one crafters love to decorate for.

It was all down hill since American politics got married to television. The old timers got it right political parties should pick the candidates in party run caucuses. Once it was opened up to the voters it became which candidate could appeal to them across a tv screen.
