Far and away the best interview ever. Lewis is amazing but it takes a peter windsor, who he trusts before he opens up. Half the time, the media tries to twists his words to their own ends. Hats off peter, excellent job.

I really don't get why certain people hate Lewis Hamilton. The guy is the fastest on he grid and one the fastest ever to grace the halls of F1. He is an asset who drives with his heart on his sleeve and feels the car the like know one else. A true, humble gentleman who actually has a lifestyle we can all dream outside F1 let alone behind the wheel. Go Lewis, still you rise.

He is certainly one of the best ever. But a humble gentleman? You're just falling for his act. Sometimes his true nature comes out. The guy is a total poser. A really talented poser. But a poser nonetheless.

Ok. Wow. How have I just seen this interview!? One of the best Lewis Hamilton interviews. That's a big compliment to Peter Windsor, his knowledge, his presence, his demeanour towards Lewis feels so authentic, grounded, friendly. When you have such a great foundation, it's no wonder Lewis opened up the way he did. His point about how different people react differently to pressure, sets him apart. His wisdom, upbringing and values ensure that he is mindful of what he says even under duress. Chapeau Mr. Windsor. 👏👏

Best Lewis interview ever, Peter. Great detail in response about rain lines, tire management, candid bits about Nico... Horrible that his description of tire "quota" is revealing: F1 "racing" is left to hopeful moments of possible competition.

Joe is right, Hamilton is anything but wise and down to earth. He's smart, tenacious, rutheless, and talented like only the greats are... but he's not wise and he's not down to earth. Verstappen on the other hand is suprisingly mature for his age.

LH has something that a lot of people lack. He has the ability to turn up the volume on his inner voice and drown out faulty thinking. He is constantly evaluating his thoughts and making them work for his goals. Perfect example was the Rain technique he was talking about. He changes his drive style to the opposite of what he does in the dry. My guess is that he has that self awareness with life in general. Some of the haters should try using the same strategy. Instead of criticizing arguably one of the best ever in F1, try looking at why he is so successful and apply it to your life instead of being the dush that has no clue about greatness but can only post negative stuff about talented athletes. People like LH with larger than life personalities bring money to the sport. That money gets F1 more TV coverage around the world. I honestly can’t wait until the first competitive woman comes to F1. Oh let the haters begin....

Lewis Hamilton for most Is too good to even watch whatever car hes in makes F1 look easy, the style he drives ,the way he handles himself as a human being, I think if he ever leaves F1 it would be 10 times felt more than when Seb retired or 20-30 times more than when Kimi did or Alonso left for 2 or 3 years thats what I imagine pain missing Lewis Hamilton but we still got him so enjoy him while we still got him.

the tyres need to be good enough to sustain max attack. Maybe a mandatory tyre change needs to be introduced but we want to see racing close lap after lap. It seems all we get now is lap 1 then 2-3 second gaps between the top 6 then maybe an undercut or overcut then possibly a tight pit exit battle then back into tyre management for the most part. these cars need to be raced and the drivers need to be able to race them hard without being so restricted by tyre conservation

Personally I'd ditch hybrid entirely. Just a V10 rev limit to them to 16k. Reasonable life expectancy of 4 races each engine. Would make the cars lighter too. Limit max amount aero pieces to reduce complexity. Softer tyres. Etc. If we want green we can go watch Formula E
@jraybay
@jraybay 6 жыл бұрын
Bigballs Touchem I agree that they need to be able to push longer. These cars are actually very fast but they don't get the credit/respect they deserve because they're in a conservation mode for most of the race, it seems. They're rockets in qualy, let's see that in the race, or get as close as possible

Jraybay Current cars are 10 minutes slower pet race cause of tyers/fuel compared to 2004. They are same speed in qualifiying so its pretty clear what needs to be done. But noone from f1 is even thinking about it cause they want overtaking not racing.

bullocks 2004 australia 1 1 Germany Michael Schumacher Ferrari 58 1:24:15.757 1 10 1 5 Germany Sebastian Vettel Ferrari 57 1:24:11.672 2 25 Malaysia 1 1 Germany Michael Schumacher Ferrari 56 1:31:07.490 1 10 1 33 Netherlands Max Verstappen Red Bull Racing-TAG Heuer 56 1:30:01.290 3 25 Belgium 1 6 Finland Kimi Räikkönen McLaren-Mercedes 44 1:32:35.274 10 10 1 44 United Kingdom Lewis Hamilton Mercedes 44 1:24:42.820 1 25 (bad example probably 8 minutes sounds too much) Cars are faster over a full race distance. Well that they spend less time in the pits is probably a better way to describe it. They are faster in Qualy on most tracks. Obviously the old cars had a better power/weight ratio. So they are faster on stop and go tracks while current cars are faster on sweeping tracks where the current aero package outshines the power advantage of the old cars. overtaking was rare in 2004 too. DRS helps but it is forced. Which fans dislike. Best way to enhance overtaking is going vaccuum fan cars. As a fan car doesn't rely on clean air since it just sucks itself to the ground. Best way to implement it would be to only allow the fan to be powered by the final drive. In that way the fan will suck more the faster you go. Not increasing the speed in slow corners by too much. Less aero bits make the sport cheaper too. But i do wonder pace. I don't know whether the reduction in drag overcomes the power used by the suctionfan.

I guess he can't remember another of his races because of being in his or the zone. Most of us think the car is " The Best" like there is a coin slot, put in the coin push start and win. If that was the case why hire Hamilton when you could get Grosen or one of the other guys to drive it. The best drivers get the best cars. Looking forward to Russell and Hamilton in 2022( hopefully, no disrespect Bottas).

i am confused why can't we get all the best drivers together and hammer out what needs to be done to get this working so drivers can overtake, it seems to be getting worse, Ross and liberty say the right things, say they want feedback from fans, but then we lose the access to f1 with the Bernie / Sky deal getting honoured, i am heart broken i have watched f1 for 30 years since i was a kid and really enjoy the ex driver led coverage by the free to air channels, but i can't and won't pay Sky to watch f1, Martin Whitmarsh always said we need free to air to get the brands the right amount of eyeballs, didn't a similar thing happen in France with the free to air coverage ceased and the viewing figures dropped ?, Great job Peter, fantastic documentary about Williams, i didn't realise you were such a big part of the team, and your help with Frank for all these years, one of the best f1 documentaries for a long while, well worth a watch, check it out on netflix, Great job with the interview, the most relaxed i have seen Lewis, i think he is nervous of Max, i fully expect Lewis to retire in the next 2 years, what could Max achieve with a equal car to Mercedes ?, all Micheal Schumachers records will be broken by Max.

You are typical of the Hamilton hate brigade that have hounded him for years just because he's not white like Jenson, Nigel or Jackie and if you're British you are an absolute disgrace for supporting Foreigners like Vettel or Alonso over a Brit in world level competition. Lewis Hamilton is the most successful British driver in Formula 1 history. Only two men have more titles (Schumacher, Fangio), only one man has more wins (Schumacher) and no man has more poles than Lewis in the history of this fantastic sport. Read it and weep you gutter trash cretin. Lewis Hamilton is one of the greatest drivers in formula 1 history. Drivers and f1 insiders have said as much countless times and there is not a single thing you can do about it. Go on fuck off and watch a different sport if you can't handle it. Pathetic.
