The fact he comes from medium family background makes him a legend while other drivers Senna was from wealthy family, Schumacher had both parents supporting while for Hamilton, his father was an only support. This is got to be a joke, Ham did have only his father supporting him plus a warmachine called Mercedes AMG, Schumacher had only true F1 supporters and won 2 titles with Benetton, NOT Mercerdes
@kieran1990able3 жыл бұрын
@@GlatzeMetzger You do know Benetton cheated with technical advantage, right?. I don't count that. Hamilton joined McLaren and won in his 2nd year after all those Ferrari dominance and Renault wins. Schummacher was already in a winning car Ferrari, they were continously winning constructor champion even before Schumacher started to win title with Ferrari. McLaren was a non winning car for almost a decade. So it was Hamilton who helped McLaren win the champion and develop car better following year. Again Mercedes was a non winning car. Since Hamilton came in they started winning everything. Even in yesterday's race Hamilton and Bottas were in same car but he lapped Bottas and won the race in that miserable condition. So I give it to Hamilton rather than Mclaren or Mercedes. The stats don't lie, admit it, he is the best driver we ever had. He eclipses Senna, Schummi and all other legends by miles.

“We need you to pick up the pace, to win this race.. that’s an instruction.” “Right now, I’m losing the World Championship so.. not really bothered if I win or lose this race.” At the time when I heard this radio message, I was shocked and appalled at Lewis’ reaction to the whole situation. But over the years I’ve come to realize that he has a winning mentality unlike any other driver in the history of this sport. He tried to win the championship that year (2016) by doing what he could do. Yes, it was controversial and ethically unacceptable. But looking at yesterday’s race, as Seb so succinctly put, it wasn’t Lewis’ race to win but he still won it. Same with Austin last year (I was there to witness it). He held off Verstappen to finish second and seal his sixth championship. There are too many races in his career like that where he’s never given up and almost always come back to win the race, win the championship. I must say I was never a fan of him, but I have the utmost respect for his race craft and his accomplishments. He deserves to be called one of the all time greats. I still think that he was at the peak of his powers in 2018. That Singapore pole is one of the best one lap performances in F1 history.
@sxntx70523 жыл бұрын
Sorry, could you explain why was that ethically unacceptable?

@@sxntx7052 As racers you’re told to respect your opponents and race hard but fair. When asked before the race if Lewis would so such a thing (backing up his teammate into the opponents to force him into mistake) he said he wouldn’t do such a (unethical) thing. But he still did it. As I mentioned in my comment above, at the time I didn’t think that was fair but I’ve come to understand Lewis’ viewpoint on it. Senna and Schumacher have done comparable actions but we always refer to them as greats. With Hamilton, it shouldn’t be any different.

@@itstime6495 racist with a white mother and two white older sisters you lot forget he is as black as he is white. All his white teammates don't seem to think that way. I think you are the racist coz you are annoyed that he is highlighting injustices against minorities. So in your eyes black lives don't matter?

It breaks my heart to see Lewis getting hate cuz he’s being “too political” and “winning too much”. Lewis is not being political, he just wants end racism and racial brutality. He’s such a humble and really nice guy, he doesn’t deserve to be hated and deserves every win he gets. I’m proud to be a LH fan🖤🖤

LH44 does his talking on the track and it is the best way to silence his critics....No one can deny greatness ....even his fiercest detractors will acknowledge he is one of the greats the sports has ever produced....people who do the driving (his peers), people who are in senior echelons of F1 recognise a talent....I would not pay no attention whatsoever to COUCH POTATOES who know nothing about F1 say anything otherwise. Well done Sir Lewis Hamilton....LH44 still I rise

Michael vs Lewis in there prime, tyson vs Ali in there prime, just except your witnessing the best of an generation, no point of arguing, its different, not better. But new and different. "Don't Think I've hit the limit yet" - 16:57 - Lewis Hamilton I think he's talking about limit on consistency, cz let's be real he's kinda past his prime (2014-2018) If he was 94 then, now he's like 91 or 89, but way more consistent.
