I love Lewis not only because he is an amazing sports person, an amazing driver, but also how is actually sooooo much more than that - an artist, an activist, a humanitarian, a true animal lover. When he won his 7th championship here in Istanbul, I was screaming and crying for him - you deserve the best man, and thank you so much, especially for being the voice of the voiceless.

As a huge F1 fan for over 25 years, I have to admit there have been some phenomenal F1 drivers over the years. What sets Lewis apart isn't the fact that he is one of the greatest drivers of all time, but that he is undoubtedly one of the greatest humanitarians that ever graced the sporting world. He will be loved and remembered as not just the greatest racer, but as such a beautiful soul. He is the real super hero our world needs 😊

@@marlonbrown5763 Well F1 isnt like other racing sports, if you want the fastest driver to win, go watch f2, or f3, thats the beauty of f1, its a show that combines money influence and talent, talent in engineers, race directors, coaches and drivers, influence in fanbases, yes you might be the most talented driver, but if you dont have the money/influence/talent, all of the above, or a combination of two, your chances are severly hurt.

I'm white, female, from Fargo (USA) where there weren't black people growing up so I struggle to understand how people can be bigoted. But I still appreciate your message and admire your compassion, tenacity, and learned wisdom. It is heartbreaking to hear how you were mistreated. As a mother, I want to scoop you up and hug you until your spirit rests. Fortunately, it sounds as tho your own mother provides such comfort for you. Being new to F1, just three years, I admire how you remain humble and stay on the higher ground. Your parents raised you well - and - more importantly, you were teachable and receptive. Keep up the good work, Sir Lewis.

In terms of Lewis's mentality, that is where he excels over the vast majority or his peers. How he publicly breaks himself down after a bad race or qually but then comes back the next session or race almost without fail, is something only a very small percent of us humans can do so consistently. Amazing and inspiring.

Fear.....thank you so much for raising this. You have more to lose (materially and status-wise) than most, yet you stepped up and you stepped out. 'Risk it all'. Lewis, you mentioned that we do not have long on this planet, I hear you. The journey moves so swiftly (especially when we are having an amazing time riding that wave) and before we know it, we are out the door. Also, life is uncertain. Thank you for doing this NOW. Because we do not know what is around the corner for us, so what you have recorded / written / said / promoted is saved, locked down for the future generations to relate to. I'm listening to you and I feel you brother, spiritually. You never stayed victim. You never stayed 'down'. Just because you are successful in this world you are not imprisoned by this success which has allowed you to live freely, mind, body and soul. Thank you so much. A 3yr battle to find a quality of life after a terminal cancer diagnosis with so many times it would have been easier to give up living. I was bullied through school too for being myself and different. And it continued into adulthood. This is the first year that I can afford enjoying things in life. I remember the past 8 years, I was so broke I couldn't even afford a meal. I had to realize that at that point that no one was going to walk me through things in life and I had to do this on my own and figure out everything alone. I now live in the nordic woods of Sweden and post about self improvement after surviving a great ordeal in life, from the Boston bombing attack to being homeless, depressed struggling with an anxiety disorder and other mental disorders before I studied my pain and got certified in therapy. I used it to heal and run my own business and also move out of Miami where I worked in a corner store overnight in one of the most dangerous hoods in Miami. I am so grateful I got out, because I knew the other route, and it was not going to end well. I had these chills all over my body throughout his speaking. I don't know what it is really but something tells me he carries great energy. I've never really heard him speak longer than 10 seconds and this was quite awakening. As a black person, African woman who never really experienced racism like that (coz obviously I'm in Africa) I was touched by how he relayed his experience being a black kid, I don't think I ever take most people seriously especially Americans when they complain about racism, maybe it's his calmness and soothing voice it's like he carries so much peace and humbleness. I wasn't even looking at his face coz I was doing laundry while listening. Anyway, long comment but I had to get it out. I'm gonna come back and rewatch and if by any chance he sees this, I wish him a long healthy successful life full love and happiness. Argh also I'm putting it out into the universe to be able to nurture my daughter's career the same way his father did for him. So much love 🙏💝💝💝

First off Jay , what an amazing job at everything you do. Lewis you do understand how important you are to all of us which is why you are doing everything you do. I have a 5 year old son that watches racing with me and while it was and is my dream to race I am only showing him things that his dad loves and watching you race is one of them. I connect with you about just wanting that hug from your dad sometimes and that part hit me the hardest. My dads generation made them a certain way and I understand that and because of that my love is being poured into my son. Your struggle with adversity goes so far and just this week today his school started kindness week. I would love to show this to him and hope to meet you one day so that he see’s one of his fathers heroes , but most importantly for him To meet in person a super hero built from love and who champions equality , love for one another and continues to fight for diversity. P.S hoping to introduce him to go karting in the near future

What a powerful light! The focus he has into his life, the journey he went through since childhood! The respect, self control, self discipline, love, spiritual support, etc, etc.. No wonder he is a strong man that he is now..All his painful journey helped him to be an inspiration for millions now.. I don't follow sports figures, I don't at all! I might know few people, but I don't get into the sports..I feel uneasy how some people make millions of $$$ versus others doing the same equal effort making nothing! But I like to listen their spiritual evolution through sports practices! I will prefer to read their biography versus watch them play sports.. Anyway I was not aware of his existence, but I am fascinated about his spiritual transformation and the powerful light he is through his self discipline sport activity.. As a volleyball player myself in the past,I know how you can use sports as an outlet,to cope with painful struggles behind doors, dealing with an alcoholic family, child molesting, bullied ( schools system )racism, and rape..! Thank you for your focus & enlightenment.. I am extremely grateful to know your real essence! 🙏🌸💚💠🌺

I admire this man so much. He is totally honest and speaks his mind on everything that concerns him. So many people say he always talks about racism and how he was bullied at school - all he says is truth - can just imagine how difficult it must have been for him😢He says that Black Lives Matter - yes they certainly do, BUT THEN I SAY THAT ALL LIVES MATTER. Lewis you've fought so hard to get to the top of F1, (the ONLY PERSON OF COLOUR TO ACHIEVE THIS!!!) you've created F1 history, you fought so much adversity in F1 yet you are the greatest F1 driver of all time - some of your records even breaking Michael Schumacher's records which is a miraculous feit!! You are who you are and I for one am extremely proud of you!!! You're so softly spoken now, gentle when spoken to, but yet you fight like demon when driving in F1and are extremely brainy when making crucial decisions on the race track!!! You most certainly WILL win your 8th Championship title!!! Congratulations Sir Lewis Hamilton 👏

Lewis is the most inspiring athlete of all time to me. When I struggle (and I struggle a lot), I think of what he would do and what he would say, and that gives me the kick I need to keep fighting. He is the best driver of all time, but he is also so much more than that. By his own effort, he managed to get all the way to the top, and - despite all the issues of his team at the moment - he will soon be the undisputed king of F1 by winning that eighth title. Because when you know his mindset, you know that he will not stop until he gets what he wants, regardless of the odds. I would wish him the best of luck, but I already know he doesn't need it ;)

You described them as "a piece," as if they are whole within themselves, it reminded me of a conversation I had recently with an older man that I randomly meet while waiting for the ferry, we spent almost an hour talking and one of the things he said was that we are fragments within ourselves, which I didn’t fully understand at the time but after hearing your interview again, it clicked! Could really relate to so much of what these two and especially Lewis discussed in this pod cast. As a professional I have attended a lot of face to face meetings and conferences as part of my job and then covid happened and all meetings went on line. that's when I started to notice that I was the only only person of colour in those meetings. In terms of diversity generally and in F1 there has been significant changes in the last 3 years and for me Lewis has been an integral part of those changes. Because of Lewis I started attending F1 races and have been to quite a few all over the world. Not sure I will continue to support F1 once Lewis retires maily because in my opinion there seems to be manipulation by the FIA and the F1 media to promote a certain driver namely MV as better than Lewis despite how little he has achieved at the same age as Lewis and how much Lewis has achieved despite all the obstacles he has faced throughout his F1 career. I thank you for this podcast, really enjoyed it
