It was interesting to see how Ricciardo was treated when he left Red Bull, and now it's the same thing with Hamilton and Ocon. I agree with you and will not buy a Mercedes vehicle because of their treatment of SLH. I can hardly wait for January to be a Ferrari supporter. There are many of us who will never invest in their vehicles every again. Or support their F1 team. Lewis does not deserve how badly they have treated him. However, SLH is a gentleman who is well loved and respected worldwide. Mercedes will come to understand the power of good people, who watch a good, faithful person made to suffer at their hands. INEOS playing their hand at undermining Lewis' market value in the eyes of the Mercedes F1 execs and shareholders. I strongly suspect that the negative Channel 4 pundits and tv commentary towards Hamilton (following Wolff's declaration of his 'shelf life') are being paid for by INEOS in an effort to ensure Ferrari do not gain the sponsors who may follow/put money into Ferrari as a direct competitor. yep, exactly! There really isn't any other logical conclusion now. I didn't realise that both Rosberg and Schumacher were given ambassador roles with Merc?! And yet they denied Lewis BEFORE his move to Ferrari?! There really are no words to show just how low that must feel as one of two of the most (if not THE most) successful drivers to ever be in Formula 1... Utterly revolting! I'll be boycotting ever buying a Mercedes after this treatment that has happened. I truly hope Lewis still has enough spirit and psychological well being to turn up to Ferrari (which is going to be a challenge as Charles is no slouch!), get adjusted quickly and regain his motivation. Truthfully, I think 2026 will be Lewis' best shot however - I think the new rules will improve the cars towards his preferred style of dyamics (less cumbersome / heavy / large and hopefully with further forwards cockpits than the current era of car design)

That Singapore lap was phenomenal, I’ll remember that for ever. Lewis was late to the circuit that day, he still smashed it! I must admit I didn’t know about this, Petronas are more there for Lewis than Mercedes ever was. The team posts this week commemorating Lewis’ legacy with them, have been a bloody joke. I don’t feel any sadness that Lewis is leaving Mercedes, since 21 they have disrespected him a thousand times, and I do agree that celebration was probably meant for Lewis getting his 8th🤬

I've followed lewis through his career and followed Formula One since the 70s You mentioned Bottas imo as soon as he found out he was being dropped. He didn't offer Louise any help for the rest of the season. Toto has definitely orchestrated a disgraceful attempt to paint Louise as a driver that has lost his speed. We know that isn't the case. I have no respect at all for Mercedes. I can't wait to see him in a Ferrari and I feel sure he will be back to his winning ways and happy . It's very sad to see him so disappointed with his last season with Mercedes. Toto didn't back him in Abu Dhabi 2021 instead of being at the Stewart's meeting he was busy going to the party and crowd surfing

They're treating him the exact same way they treated Bottas for years. With the benefit of hindsight, we can lowkey see that Toto is a terrible driver manager. Wrecked Bottas confidence by dangling 1-year contract extensions over his head year after year (look at his form in 2021 when all anyone could talk about was how he was going to be replaced at the end of the season). Abandoned Pascal Wehrlein after his accident. Left Ocon out in the cold, so he had to make his own moves. Jerked Mick Schumacher around instead of being upfront about the nature of things (mind you we're not privy to the discussion they had internally) but from the outside looking in he wasted 2 good years of his young career by sitting on the sideline as a "test driver". When you can no longer outspend your problems or throw a legion of the smartest people at it, this is where you end up. Everything comes to an end eventually, and while it is unfortunate that this is how the Mercedes story is ending (for now) it's difficult to keep burying your head in the sand as a Lewis fan. There is no point in hoping for "the best" or good treatment. Business is business, and this is what Mercedes decided. I'm going to keep rocking with Lewis and deuces ✌🏾 to Mercedes (as a fan). It's sad, but still we rise.

The sad truth is that this is a very real consideration now; Lewis needs to not over-drive the car (which will be hard because doubtless they'll help him smash out the practise sessions as per usual and get his confidence up, then give all the valuable data to Russell's side of the garage to utilise) so he doesn't risk having a serious injury.
