Great work, Lewis. I'd even be happy to frame your easel and hang that. Seriously! I both admire you and hate you for the talent and creativity you have. 😄 I checked out your website, but couldn't find any artworks for sale. Thanks again for sharing this video. I've just finished 4 long night shifts and should be sleeping rather than watching this...but quite happy to do so. Cheers

I'm intrigued by the use of the razor blade to make the little scratches and lines. They add something in the way the crazing on an old porcelain vase creates mystery and interest. What is your feeling about these marks? What do they represent? Thank you in advance!!

Thanks! The landscape is made by a process of laying down and eroding. I try to echo this in my mark making.

Beautiful work Lewis! If you would be so kind, what do you use to get the slurry effect with oil paint as you work over top? Is it a medium? Also what kind of colored pencils are you using with oil? Thank you very much! John LaPorta

You seem to be using a lot of wetting medium to liquify your oils Lewis, what are you using?
@LewisNobleArtist4 жыл бұрын
It'll be a fast drying alkyd oil painting medium.

I’ve only just stumbled across your channel and I’m currently working through all the videos and have been checking out your workshops. Can you let me know if you just use normal coloured pencils in your work?

Hi thanks! Usually watercolour pencils.

Is this painting really done in oil? If so can you tell us what you used to make the paint so liquid? The painting is truly inspirational. Love it.
