I am a successful writer and lost 80 lbs and looking much fitter and it is cause of what he said. I have set times I ONLY do each thing to improve my life, so I give all I have to it. I talk about this on my channel. So for example in the first hour I workout and walk only while listening to motivational speeches and other life coach's, and do nothing else doing that time and I go all in. If I really like something I delay a few minutes doing it so I appreciate it more. I just did my workout while typing this. I typed this during my brief break. I listen to him as I workout 😊

My dad one night in the cold was almost at he's apartment downstairs, decided to smoke a quick cigarette to get warm before going upstairs to the room. As he was about to light the joint, he realized he could just go into the apartment and get warm; wondering why he decided to smoke in the first place. He threw away he's cigarette's right there and never smoked since. He told me that making a decision has little to do with finding a reason or motivation. The more reasons you try to find, the less power you have to make that decision. There is no end to finding the right reasons before doing something. Took me years to figure out what he meant. But i am kind of understanding what he means from this podcast. Thanks!

My GOD..... this man just expunges inspiration. He is MADE OF IT. It’s intense in the most beautiful light way. I am blown away. Everything he is is everything I imagine myself being and want to be and think of but feel like I have no access to. Then saying that - I understand from watching this that those are my old limits and mindsets speaking. I’ve always wanted a mentor. I’ve always known I’ve needed one. If it’s going to be anyone - it’s John! Even though I’m in the creative industry - I have these very same obsessions with hacking the mind, the brain and how it works. I’ve been interested in rewiring my brain for years - especially after growing up with lots of abuse and trauma and curious about hoe that shaped my mind and thinking. I’ve tried lots of hacks. Still am. Lots of changes but there’s more to be done! Anyhow - In the meantime his videos, book, site and newsletter it is! Thanks for this incredible interview. I listened thrice and will definitely be listening again

lovvvvveee this interview... I bought Johns NeuroGym program... it's awesome. At 7:36 he says we've been conditioned to worry about scarcity, in a world that no longer has true scarcity... I just started reading a book called "Return of the Golden Age" that says the exact same thing.... he says that we used to live in true peace and abundance back over 12k years ago, and then a catastrophe happened... and it made us start hoarding things and beome greedy..... and that mentality never left, because of certain people that really worked hard to do well for themselves at the expense of so many others.... This interview was crazy cool Lewis... looking at Johns perception of what's causing the reaction... and you can be aware of it and simply change it... and everything else he said is just fascinating.... Thank you for all of these interviews, but especially this one! ❤︎

i tamed my sugar addiction with a cleaner diet (whole plant foods) and replacing it with fresh fruits. drinking hot water (with lime) first thing in the morning & eating dates rather than sugar helped me a lot. at the beginning, i ate a pound a day multiple times! then reduced it to 7 a day. now i eat a few when i want. i quit eating yeast as well. now there's only a healthy amount of yeast in my body. sugar & fast food feed the yeast which is an organism, a one-celled fungus, that can take over our decision-making process to make us eat what benefits the organism.
