I wanted to be a runner, but I was out of shape, so I started walking, slowly everyday, my mile took almost 12 minutes, I continued my habit, a few months later I was running 7 miles a day and got my time down to 8 minutes a mile. I also lost 31 pounds.

Some things I've learned from this AMAZING interview: 1. *A habit must be established TO BE IMPROVED. Start working out 5 minutes, then improve. THE ART OF SHOWING UP.* Figure out the logistics. 2. Bad habits: instead of making it obvious to do, make it invisible. Restructure your environment. 3. Start small, pick ONE thing. People LOVE progression. Habits are the foundation for mastery.

We are creatures of habits and still, the power of routines is drastically under rated. If there is one thing in our personal life which doesn't come with a form of a recipe, it's our routines. We should read and learn about how they work but it's a trial and error thing. On the other hand, what is 100% sure, it's the necessity of having them. I can't imagine my mornings without a clear roadmap for the first 2 hours.
