Watching you I feel validated. We don't paint 'scenes', we paint mind, energy, dance, relationships with body and marks on surface. So good.

I found watching this strangely satisfying. Love the building up of textures and mark making, and gradual addition of colour.

hi lewis, I really like this work, there is a "pollock" action in the way the layers are assembled one after the other. Isn't the hardest thing to know when it's over?

john jack thanks! Early days yet. I’m just seeing where it goes. Thanks for watching.

Is that charcoal or pastel sticks you're marking with? Love where this is going!
@LewisNobleArtist5 жыл бұрын
Delta888ful it’s charcoal & pencil / watercolour pencil. Whatever I lay my hands on!
@StephenWilliams5 жыл бұрын
I was going to ask exactly the same question. I thought it may be charcoal at first and then when you started adding coloured lines, I wasn't so sure. If you finish off any work with charcoal on the surface, do you use a fixative Lewis?

Painting without looking at the canvas, scribbling anything, surely one must snobbish person would invent a deep soul searching of the meaning of this most probably a fortune . Wonderful a very smart man that is laughing at you for his ruse.
@tommyapocalypse60964 жыл бұрын
Clearly, the entire concept of abstract EXPRESSIONIST art is lost on you. You seem to be the "snobbish" one here, implying (insisting, more like) that art must conform to a set of standards, protocols and practices. I'm sure you like all your horsies to look just like horsies, and for everything to conform you an (your, mainly) idea of what art - let alone GOOD art - should look like. You use run-on sentences and poor grammar to illustrate (see what I did there? Probably not) one very evident and simply stated fact: This kind of art is beyond you. Above you. And not for the likes of you.

He’s creating layers and depth and textures ! They tease the senses and make you feel the painting with your eyes! I love his work!
@cafeiring82522 жыл бұрын
I can assure you that it takes years of practise to paint like that. I used to be like you, saying stuff like "my 5yr old could've made it", until I started painting myself. Oh lord, was I wrong 😂🙈🤦♂️ you should give it a go yourself. I'm confident you'll see what I mean afterwards.
