I still hold strong that Lex would’ve never turned out that way had Clark just told him the truth, but everyone abandoned, left, used and lied to him. How can someone not turn out that way?? I truly feel like Lex would’ve protected Clark with his life!

I'm actually not really sure if he wouldn't turned that way with Clark. Lex was already broken before he met Clark. And one person can't save and heal what was damaged in 21 years. Lex already turned in the first seasons where the relationship of them both were still pretty good. I'm sure he would've turned that way even with Clark. But he would be still a different kind of person. I guess Lionel does more damage than Clark could've ever healed.

I think that when Clark saved him after the crash and Lex knew there was something up right away, and he knew Clark was hiding it. Like when everyone thought Lex was going nuts because of the drugs Lionel and Morgan Edge were giving him. And even when he saw Clark use his abilities on the drugs, he kept his secret even after all the lies. Clark then turned around and lied to Lex again when he ended up in Belle Reeve. I feel like when all he wanted was for someone to love him, like Lionel, but he could never seem to get it. And then Lionel and Clark switch bodies and the back and Lionel somehow got a Moral change and then started getting close to Clark. All that love Lex wanted from Lionel was given to Clark. I feel like that broke him, even more when he found out about Veritas. I always felt Clark let that Destiny stuff get to his head. Idk, I think it’s possible for Clark to have been the one to save him. I feel it’s a lot like love, you could be in a relationship for 10 years and not be happy and then met someone and after six months you could be in love. I feel if Clark had been the one person to not lie to him, maybe he would’ve turned out different. Idk maybe even if Clark had told him the truth and then Lex still found out about Lionel being there for Clark the day of the meteor shower, maybe that would still break him. Because he told Lionel that you tossed me aside for the traveler. There’s just a lot of elements.

Well this is a really hopeful thinking :D Even a friend can't give you what a lover gives you, or what a parent gives you. A friend can't replace that. There is no way for it. Way more things must've been different to turn him into a different person. More than just Clark =)

I think that is pinning too much on a boy in his mid-teens vs an adult, if young, man. Lex was already pretty used to using people (just think the way he used women for sex), and he tried to use both Clark and Kara to be the guardian angel for him. They both refused that position, Clark out of teenage incompetence, Kara because she did not feel an obligation towards him. This is pretty sick behaviour already. You can go through a lot and be broken, but the only person that can save you is... you. Lex was not prepared to save himself.

Beautiful... I still remember watching *Smallville* as a little kid, from the pilot since my mom was a huge fan of *Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman* , and she adored John Glover. So we watched the first season together, and I was more of a Batman fanboy than a Man of Steel adorer... still, I liked the show well enough, but in the 6th episode, _"Hourglass"_ something changed when I saw the clip of Lex Luthor's future, in the sunflowers field, with a black glove and the rain of blood... ... that's when I became hooked for good and started to follow the show on my own. That was obviously way before you could just immediately rewatch the latest episode of your favorite show online after it ended, so it took a while before I was able to watch the "future" sequence again, and I got chills again every time I'd rewatch that episode... You're doing a hell of a job with these DC villains tributes, I watch most of them a couple dozen times before I finally slow down a bit. Keep up the good work, your edits are great! You, *Michael Harlan* , and a couple others like *Alana Crane* are my go-to when I want to watch something I know I'll love. Thanks a lot! RF

Thanks a lot, that you shared your story with me =) It's a beautiful story. Now i see you do not have many subscribers, nor many likes, but let me tell you, you are the only youtuber that really understood Lex to the core, this is art.

It's all a matter of perspective ;) I've getting close to the 1k and that is already more I could've dreamed of :D And thanks. I guess my way of understanding just came from a mix of psychiatrist knowledge, a bad past, sympathy and that I always try to understand the actions of people =) So that u tell me that I'm like one of the only youtuber that really understood Lex, means a lot to me. So thank you again ♥

This is the first time I've ever been confused about the views on a video. It's the single greatest Lex video and yet it has less that 20k views!? WTAF. It's not even just an edit, but also doubles as a character analysis, perfectly showing that with everyone pushing him away and gaslighting him caused him to become so twisted.
@sessyfan7914 ай бұрын
I'm glad that you like it that much ;) Well what should I say, with 11k views this one is actually one of the videos with "More" views than usual lol KZbin doesn't really promote my videos much, I dunno why :D Thanks for your high praises, I always try my best to capture the character as best as I can =)

Blame KZbin algorithm. Its been broken for years. I keep seeing Jake Paul's content on my home page despite never wanting to see a video with him in my life.

@@Stuart267 well it's more like it that the algorithm doesn't notice any sheme to follow with fan edits. At least that's my experience
