I like the shape of the 33 for concealer as well as shadow. I thought the 34 worked beautifully for your liner and as an aside, the close ups gave me the opportunity to see those lovely Suqqu shadows. They are so wonderfully understated and all blend together so well. And the blush brush shape is very unique too. Great video Lexi - thank you!

Congrats on getting this new set from Rephr! And thank you for the thorough demos and comparisons. I think these brushes do fill a void for specific tasks. For me, the eyeliner brush will be perfect for applying lash growth serum. The cheek brush looks very versatile. I am most excited about the flat eye brush and the angled concealer brush. Thank you for the thorough presentation and demos of these new Rephr brushes.

that was my first thought, but she showed them together and they seem a bit different? I'm also thinking that this 36 is like a larger version of my favorite concealer brush, which is the Bdellium Tools golden triangle 788 brush ($17, synthetic bristles)!

I don't know if you need the whole set unless you have the issue of needing something and it needs to be washed so you have to find something else. I believe the brushes will be available individually for black friday so you may want to wait and just get the ones you want.

Hi Lexi. I hope that you get to read this since it's over 2 years since you posted it. I love your content, and know that I will get good advice from you. I am in need of a blush brush that is good for loose mineral powder blush, not pressed. I'm 71 with a very thin face. I own a blush brush from Bobbi Brown that is very old but in great condition since I haven't used it much. However, I am not thrilled with it for this type of blush. Of course part of the problem may be me and my lack of technique :) I've been going back and forth between BK Beauty and rephr, and watched videos of yours on both. I've toyed with the idea of an angled type (BK 112, rephr 04), but the rephr 37 looks good too. However, you showed the Omnia gold domed brush in this video. I had never heard of this line of brushes but took a look at their website. The price point is great right now (Black Friday sale). Which of the gold domed is yours? Is it the Omni Gold BOM-34? I would appreciate any suggestions you may have - it doesn't have to be these brands. I'm trying to avoid my blush looking harsh. The loose mineral blush that I am using (Alima Pure) is quite pigmented; very very little is needed. Some reviews of the Omnia brush complained about shedding. By the way, I loved your JR video on the Holiday Sets and your top 5 favorites. Very helpful! Be well, and thanks for the great job that you do!
@LexiJongАй бұрын
Hi! I have the BOM-34 which I love so much, I bought a second. It works well with loose powder blushes. I like to work a little blush into the bristles using the cap of the blush. I haven't tried the BOM-37 but that looks like it might also be a nice option for an airier application (and for highlighter). Rephr 37 is similar to the omnia and is another good option. If you would like to try an angled brush, my recommendation is the CH-1 from Fude Bobo x Chikuhodo. It's my favorite angled cheek brush but there are other great ones out there too. I hope this helps and you are able to catch a good deal!
@andreajaneАй бұрын
@@LexiJong Lexi, you are a gem! So good of you to get back to me at all, never mind how quickly! I will take a look at the CH-1. Thanks so much for the great advice. And I do hope that I can "catch a good deal!"

Hi, Lexi. Any thoughts on which Rephr would be best if one's primary goal is blending in undereye concealer? I am assuming 35....or 12?

Hello, I really like your content which helps me choose the products and I enjoy following you …. I saw that you had also made content for Spectrum brushes. I'm hesitating between the Rephrs and Spectrum brushes...what do you recommend? Thanks a lot. Katherine
@LexiJong2 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on whether or not you want synthetic or natural hair. I prefer natural hair so I would pick rephr personally. Spectrum are not my favorite synthetic brushes as they are more on the "floppy" side of things. I like a bit more firmness so I prefer the ESUM V series over the spectrum. I'm also testing the Rose and Ben brushes right now which are synthetic and those seem like a nice synthetic option as well and they have some different shapes.

Hello Lexi, thank you for the thorough review.I am looking for a concealer brush. I have dry mature skin so I use the smallest amount just to cover blue veins visible in the narrow area between the eyes. I was looking to buy the Sonia G Kejaki set and now there's this set available. Is there a brush amongst these two sets you would recommend for this purpose or any other better you would recommend?
@LexiJong2 жыл бұрын
My favorite is actually the Sonia G soft concealer in the fusion series. I think even with small amounts, it just blends everything beautifully. This rephr one here is a good option but perhaps a little large for your purpose. You may actually like the 33 brush in this set for that as well since a flat brush might be easy to use. I would go with one of the Sonia G fusion brushes personally as they are just the best concealer brushes imo.
@TheRealAriLove2 жыл бұрын
Lexi what are your thoughts on the Rephr 05 blush brush in the main line? It was hyped up but when I use it i find it packs on so much color and i have to really work to blend it out. Im on the hunt for a very effortless airy blush brush.
@LexiJong2 жыл бұрын
Yes that brush is best for firmly packed and baked products imo. For an airy brush, I would look at the sonia g soft cheek or cheek pro if you want to stick with goat or if you want squirrel, there are a ton of options but pretty much every squirrel cheek brush is airy. The hairs are just too soft for anything else.
