mr. milholland has got a youtube channel now !! so cool to see the legend him self and his shop. im a tradesman so the legal eagle is very appealing to me for the cost to build. cant wait to start my build.

5:30 offsetting rudder, personally, i would not do that, its not just p factor but also the prop wash spinning like a tornado around the fuse and hitting the tail, which varies with engine and or prop. The way we altered this in the past is to offset the motor mount slightly to the right or left depending on rotation. Further, in a top wing the plane may nose up on throttle and a low wing nose over, so engine up or down slightly can overcome that as well.

How about a 3/8” peace of HDPE bent like a candy cane and attached at both ends for a tail wheel alternative? It would last forever on grass or could have a sacrificial peace added for repeated use on tarmac.

I'd try that lite tubing for tge elevater and rudder. Aluminum tube on the the tail feathers seems under kill.

Any chance the fuselage loses strength and flight stability due to being too thin? You think a fuselage this light for a legal eagle XL should be for a more seasoned ultralight pilot? Always enjoy your videos Les. Thanks for sharing.
