The island rating is connected to items on your island, but I thought the placement is a factor as well. I was taught that if you have items on at least half of the squares on the map, then your rating goes up Maybe a tip as well :) I love watching your videos!

It always amazes me how professional AcNH players can still spread misinformation about the game so many years after release. Your rating absolutely updates in “real time” as you make changes to your island. No time traveling required.
