Me and a few other guys with 2015 RC models are considering new nav unit since they are almost 10 years old now. Think you can make an install video and also show how much of the org functions remain ex. Backup camera, parking sensors display, making calls and answering calls etc

What is the time needed to boot the system up when you turn the car on?

Hey! Just a few questions before I get this for my 2015 Lexus is350. Does this change the audio quality of the speakers? Like mess with the EQ or anything like that? Also will it still allow me to do all the features on the old hardware/display?

And this does fit on F sport trims too correct?

@@asleep2381 It does support F sport times as well. It will not change your audio quality at all. It also will allow you to access all your original features. How long does it take to boot when turning the vehicle on? If it's running CarPlay when the vehicle turns off, will it boot up automatically to CarPlay the next time the car turns on (assuming the same phone is available to connect)? I'm interested in the settings menu for the Lexus units if there's an operating manual available.

It boots similarly quickly to the factory unit. If you have carplay running and turn if off, you will need to push the carplay icon again on the screen. You can hold the menu button for two seconds at any time to revert to your factory interface to access vehicle settings.

Does this replace the original headunit? Because my original is out

It fully replaces the original screen, yes. Your Lexus “head unit” is a separate module from the factory that does need to still be connected.

This seems like a much better option than the other choices out there like beats sonic (not compatible with my 14 because I don’t have the built in nav). Is this a pretty quick install that changes out just the screen or do you have to get access to the back of the unit below the air vents?

You do have to plug in some connectors behind the climate control center panel. We have a complete installation manual and it is not a very difficult installation.

Can you hear CarPlay audio ( turn by turn gps/texts read out) while listening to FM radio or do you have to manually switch to AUX input?
