INVALUABLE INFORMATION! No matter what the platform, there is usually not many people that have ran that many setups. Giving a true personal perspective comparison is great for everyone else’s consideration. 100% agree with coils vs springs. Buy once, cry once. But aesthetically, springs may be a good use case to most. You’re sitting on a small fortune of used parts bro - sell for more! LOL.
@thehuangbros3 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks. Yeah figured I had all of these so I should share with the world. If I wasnt doing anything more than daily driving the car and doing a mountain run here or there. I think springs would have been great. But after experiencing the difference between coilovers and springs, i vote for coilovers. Its a small fortune in this video haha.

For GSF which I don’t plan to track something the swift springs would be good

Dude sick video. I didn't know any of that shocks info. I got a question one of my old Buick had Air shocks whats the word on that?
@thehuangbros3 жыл бұрын
Like lowrider type suspension? Theyre cool, airing down on people while talking to them through your window always makes a reaction. 😄. But that stuff needs a compressor, a tank to store the air, and then a little device that allows the air to go through and to the strut using air to fill up a thick rubber bag. Inflated bag and deflated bag.

I thought about using the Tein Flex Z on my 2015 GS350 F Sport, and upgrading the springs front and rear to 10/12 swift. Tein customer service told me the Tein spring rate can be upgraded +/- 2. I would like your thoughts on this idea. Thank you.

Are there any drawbacks or wear/tear on other parts by switching to a true rear coilover suspension when the car was designed with the divorced setup?
@thehuangbros2 жыл бұрын
Nope. If anything there are less stress on other parts since a lot of that energy is going through the true coilover suspension vs divorced setup spreading that energy all throughout.

about to be lowered on swift spec-r, plan on running 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 in the rear. what offset would you suggest running?
@thehuangbros3 жыл бұрын
Id you do +32 to + 35 youre good to go but you can go a bit more aggressive if you want but limited on tire choices if you do that
@kevinpham75193 жыл бұрын
@@thehuangbros thanks i definitely want to run a meaty setup to help with traction but also want good fitment what tire sizes would u recommend running with +32 and +35?
@thehuangbros3 жыл бұрын
@@kevinpham7519 oh sorry so i meant you can range from +32 to +35. But if you wanted meaty meaty fitment, you would need +35 maybe even +38. But on a 10.5 you can do 305 but with swift springs, ive only seen 295 in the rear and 265 in front without rub.

i have an is250 2014 awd and looking to install coilovers… if the car stock is a divorced spring set up then do i have to install the coils the same way?? Or can i keep the rear coilovers true and one piece? Not understanding if that is a choice or not
