How much does this weigh?
@TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad2 жыл бұрын
Tried to find a weight but couldn’t- kzbin.info can you chime in? I would estimate about 60-70 lbs per slider.

Are the lights underneath deleted when these are installed?
@TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
The light mounting brackets are built into the running boards so that goes away. You can reattach the lights using any number of methods (eg. zip ties, repurposed mounting brackets, etc) or replace with waterproof LED light strips.

You can easily wire some 3 hole LED lights and wire them in if you want...

Are these metal tech 4x4 or OPOR sliders? Reason I ask. On metal tech website they are OPOR for sale and not metaltechs’
@TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad2 жыл бұрын
Mine are MetalTech. OPOR is a different brand. They're deisgns are more basic requiring less fabrication and use more off the shelf metals - both of which reduce their cost conpared to the MetalTech.

@@TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad can you share a link? I can’t find these metal tech ones anymore
Any issues with the KDSS when mounting the sliders?

Had to loosen up the reservoir cover but it was easy to do. Other than that no problems. Thanks for asking. Hope you’ll consider subscribing to our channel.

take a flush cut multi-tool to the plastic that bows out...shave about the same thickness as the blade...

No.. don't go with the victory sliders they do not fit correctly... these fit much better

All I can say is these rock sliders work really well… don’t have direct experience with Victory’s.

I have a GX and TJ set up similar to yours. Hit me up if you're ever in northern NM
@TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad3 жыл бұрын
That would be awesome! I was out there this summer in Sante Fe and drove up to the Valles Caldera but didn't have time to explore the area as much as I wanted. Definitely interested in exploring N NM so could use the advice!

Oh and great so see a another Toyota and Jeep mixed household! :D So many ppl love one and hate the other... I love both... but they are totally different from each other. Use the right tool for the job! GX is my overlander. Jeep is my rock crawler.
@blurglide3 жыл бұрын
@@TXGX460OverlandandOffRoad Yeah- one is more for rock-crawling, the other more for "overlanding" type trips to remote areas. We got the GX after doing a 1000 mile trip through Utah in the TJ...and the TJ was overkill for the kind of "off roading" we were doing, and less than ideal for the paved portions, plus couldn't carry much camping gear. We may take the GX to Canyonlands in the spring if we can get a lift on in time, but if we don't get it set up we may take the Jeep. We just did bumper/winch and are about to put on sliders (as soon as I can spray them with bedliner)
