Ok guys i solved the issue with the driver side mount top bolt removal, u need a go through socket set (17mm) it’s hex head, crowfoot wrench set (19mm), n sum long extensions 4 long ones. Put the 17mm socket on then attach the crowfoot 19mm to the extensions n fish it down to grab the top of the top of the socket keep the engine low do not raise it up u need the weight of the engine to prevent the top nut n mount from spinning especially if its torn, after u crack it loose keep turning until the bolt coming up then raise the engine (assuming u remove the lower nut) n use ur hand from there to turn the socket then after a few minutes of annoying n awkward position it will come out 😊

Just found and subscribed. Need to raise my 2011 Lexus is250 motor high enough to remove faulty alternator . Don't have enough room . Just need about 1 inch .

This was solid dude, thank you so much. Does it matter if you have an awd or rwd? I have a 08 awd, and the first thing I'm doing is the easiest- the trans mount. I'll go to mechanic for engine bay.

Why didn’t you disconnect the battery to avoid your issue with the alternator connector Also how many miles did it have?

Yes it was making a clunking noise. I have yet to drive it to see if clunking was related and to see if it’s been fixed. Currently fixing couple other things.
