I've never heard an engine quack on startup after an oil change. LOL. Appreciate all the ES330 vids. I'm doing control arms, spark plugs and knock sensors soon, trying to just knock out everything while I have the suspension off below and the plenum off up top. I did the dogbone mount when I inherited the car 5-6 years ago. I think I did the horizontal bolt on the engine first and that made it easier to pivot the dogbone and push the engine up to the firewall mount as needed to get the bolt vertical bolt holes aligned. It's nice to have higher-definition videos for the lower mounts and your water pump swap, too.

It’s great to hear that the videos are helping people. Thank you for watching. I appreciate the feedback. I need to do control arms and struts on it as well. Plus about a dozen other little things still. So, again, I appreciate you watching and I’m sure there will be more on the Lexus in the future!!

hey bro can you link to the kit you got? how have they held up btw?
@ogresspeedshop24 күн бұрын
I got the kit from rock auto.com. www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/lexus,2005,es330,3.3l+v6,1430773,engine,motor+mount+kit,11844. They held up longer than the engine did, unfortunately. The car melted a piston a couple months back and is headed to the scrap Yard soon. It was a great car until then.

Great informative video. 👍 Question: did u ever have an issue with the auto power windows programming at that milage?
@ogresspeedshop2 ай бұрын
Only issue we’ve ever had was the back drivers side window wasn’t working at one point, and I was going to order a new regulator but they’re crazy expensive anywhere you look. I opened the door panel and tapped on the motor and it freed it up. Haven’t had any problems with it not working since. The only issue it does have, and probably something to do with what you’re asking about, is you can’t let it go up automatically cause it’ll get to the top and and hit then come back down. So you have to jog it closed to stop that from happening. My wife researched it a bit, and she said that it’s an issue that there’s no fix for. I haven’t personally researched it any further because it doesn’t really bother us enough to worry about it. Usually have the AC on. That’s all I know about the power windows in it.

@ogresspeedshop thats the exact problem I have and she is correct, I have done extensive research and tried dozens of different way suggested, but no luck myself. So I also gave up and use the manual (jog) way to close it. (Pass rear door). Thx though

How do you know when engine mount broke?
@ogresspeedshop3 ай бұрын
The upper one you can usually see it. The others can cause vibrations. Another way is if the engine jerks or jumps when you put it into gear. If you got from park to drive and the engine moves excessively, that’s a sign as well. If you switch from reverse to neutral to drive, you can usually see the engine jump and sometimes makes a big thunk or clunk. I hope I’m explaining it well enough. It’s hard to put into written words. Let me know if you need any more information.

When is it necessary to do this job. My es has a slight vibration coming from the engine in certain circumstances
@ogresspeedshop4 ай бұрын
The mounts on my car were visibly broken and worn out. You should be able to visually inspect them and see damage. Is the vibration anytime it’s running or only when driving. Do you notice any clunking when switching between reverse, neutral and drive? A vibration can be a lot of things, even a misfire. Now, a question back at ya, do you own a Grand National or just a fan? Hope I was some help.

Mostly on startup and shutdown I get a wiggle, sometimes getting back on the throttle after coasting. I have a 1987 Buick We4 turbo-t. I got some vids on my channel
@ogresspeedshop4 ай бұрын
@@bobrobert1123 I would just start with the easy one, the “dog bone” on top passenger side and work your way around. The front one is a pain to do. I replaced mine just to cover everything. Checked out your channel and love your Turbo-T

Thanks man, yeah I guess I could knock em out one at a time. The dog bone one is pretty soft and I can move it with my hand

I will not let you work on my bicycle , you never put the dog bone on first , you do it last . if you jack the car up , the dog bone will bend the mounting bracket . Your duck is better mechanic than you .😀😀😀
