Right! especially with the noting that it's a pain in the ass so just do everything while it's down. My issue before was the check valve cracked from the spring pressure. Need to figure out how to strengthen that thing so it doesn't crack.

Old Toyotas in general are notorious for needing this part replaced evidently. It's the cause of many P0442 and similar codes.

Yea...... my IS is throwing the same code........ respect man.im not dropping my tank unless i have too....... you made a video while back that you asked what was the best video or most helpfull video... i didnt have time to reply... it was when you found that penny in the middle center console .. cig lighter... kept blowing the fuse....... i miss cali... i was born their.... sadly its gone crazy... you cant even carry a gun freely their... not to mention... a house that sells for 1,000,000 out their sells for 50k out hear in Missouri... look it up.. im not saying gheirs not high end houses out hear.. but dam... my uncle sold his house out their for like a mill and it was tore down.. same month to build anew one WTF.....lol.... anyways miss the weather not the drama.....

Hello, Thank you for the video! Need some help. Just replaced the overflow valve on my 2004 IS300 did this without dropping the tank, (by cutting the metal from above) when I wss pulling the hoses off it seemd that some slack in the lines gave way from the tank side. hoping that this was slack in the hoses and not that the hoses came off the other end!!! Could you help in finding out is the hoses are still connected without having to drop the tank please. Your video shows this line at 7:35 time.

Glad to help. Another option is to remove charcoal canister located in the trunk. i was going to make a video on it but i dropped tank instead to change/clean everything.

Just drained tank, replaced fuel filter, pump, overflow, filled with Premium fuel, and car runs like new!! Next is coilovers just, watched your coilover video.. nice

Like others have said, thank you so much for this video. This should be on the IS Forum for sure. Were you able to clear out the codes without them coming back? (Asking as my mechanic wants to do a similar job and I know it will cost money, but will be too much for me handle myself and I honestly don't have the time either).

Yes codes are cleared. You will need like 150 miles to drive around then clear codes again. Any1 can do this - just need time and all the tools,

Try disconnecting battery . If it comes back on u need to scan for codes

Its not many bolts really. Its just there are brackets and other things that need to be taken out of the way
