Thanks for this video in particular Barry. It helped a lot! I needed a ball joint puller to uninstall the old control arms.

Oh my gawd THAT’S HOW YOU ADJUST IT? My local shop is going to hate me, RR Racing should have a chart of how much thread exposed = how much camber
@advantist2 жыл бұрын
The stock RC F is supposed to have roughly -0.5 degrees of camber in the front, with about -1.5 in the rear, according to TIS. And, as for rear control arms, those may be a good idea also. I have found that about -1.8 rear is about perfect in terms of wear and grip. -2.5 for the front is plenty enough.
@thehuangbros2 жыл бұрын
Im currently -2.5 up front and -2 on back right and -2.4 on back left. I have some adjusting to do

I have the Truhart iteration. They aren't exactly easy to adjust when the weight of the car is sitting on them. These appear to have a more practical design, so I might consider grabbing the kit.
@thehuangbros2 жыл бұрын
The only way to adjust these are to remove the rear solid mounts and twist. So these, figs, t-demand, etc are all tedious and time consuming. 🤷🏻♂️
@scorpio_98102 жыл бұрын
@@thehuangbros thanks for the feedback. On second thought these ones appear more difficult to adjust. The increased positive caster is still desirable, though.

I wish those upper control arms were adjustable in place. I mean I know you’ll probably set it and forget it but having that extra bit of adjustability would be awesome. You could really dial in your camber for the ring. You’ll never take that apart just to see what 2 spins in or out would do. They’re a nice looking part though and I’d bet they feel good on track so…
@thehuangbros2 жыл бұрын
Im running into that issue now. I cant just freely adjust but now I need to have less camber. Im at -2.3 up front but want -2.0. Now i have to keep removing and adjusting.

@@thehuangbros it’s impossible to think of everything. I had to learn that one the hard way too. No biggie. You’ll know for next time and for more parts now. Even when it’s more money always go with the one that you can adjust when it’s in place.

@thehuangbros2 жыл бұрын
Well thats the thing, you wont know until you have a camber mesaurement tool to let you know where youre at. How low you set your coilovers also determines that too. Im currently -2.3/-2.4 up front .

Haha If I have a low mileage RC F, I would not be making videos. I would not waste money on a car I don’t even drive. It would be very much stockish. 😂

The 2ur-gse is bullet proof. He could def supercharge it from that perspective. Transmission is also pretty strong. The main thing that might have an issue at high mileage boosted might be the tvd, but I'm not sure about that. In theory if you keep clean fluids in that should be fine too.
