Leyland Band - "The Wizard" - Winning performance, Diggle Whit Friday Contest 2013

Conducted by Andrew Warriner, this is the band's winning performance from the 2013 Diggle Whit Friday Contest. Performing their 'traditional' Whit Friday march, George Allan's "The Wizard", the band also won prizes for best cornet (Iain Culross), best euphonium (James McLeod) and best basses.

Just out of interest , who was on soprano cornet ? It sort of looks like David Hirst but quite younger . Thanks .

@@JonnyCowens Good call there , I think it is John Doyle . I know of him best as a flugel horn player but I did hear he played soprano cornet with Leyland a few years back . Cheers , Mark .
