I'm a Habs fan. One day about 5 years ago I stumbled across one of your LFR posts and I've been following you ever since. I don't hate the Leafs and I've enjoyed watching them improve during that time. I'm a hockey fan and this is why I appreciate and follow you. You're a fan of the Leafs and of the game. I too had a roller coaster ride of emotions regarding this game except that mine ended on a happier note. I really enjoy your passion and sincerity. Don't change! I don't usually buy ebooks, however, I want to add yours to my collection and when I saw that it's only 2.99$ today I though now is the time to buy. Unfortunately when I try to purchase the book on Indigo it takes me to Kobo where the book comes up as 9.89$ USD. This won't stop me from buying the book. I just won't buy it here. I'm looking forward to reading the book and to seeing how your passion translates to print. Thank you.

"Space doesn't care about your feelings." There's another t-shirt for Dangle-ware line you should be selling to benefit charity... Anyway, long time listener, first time caller. Perfectly valid & and also a long held belief of mine about the backups, back-to-backs & HNIC. I think history would show that many coaches absolutely take the factors you mentioned into account, as well as: rivalry game, for you & your fans, against a team you might be jockeying with in the standings or maybe even see come April (a couple of my MTL fan friends aren't letting me live this down, & a couple of my Bs fan buddies piled on the 4-1 factor too...ugh); and that your Saturday-going home fans are paying to see your star players, not your backup goalie. (Growing up, I expected to see Mike Palmateer or Felix Potvin if I had the good fortune of my Dad scoring his company's seats for a Saturday game.) BUT! The reality of the matchup of Hutchinson-v-Price in a shootout was EXACTLY why Anderson should have been in that game and Hutchinson should have been opposite Korpisalo the night before. Feature goalies should get feature games; give yourself the best chance to beat the better teams. Montreal on the back half of consecutive games should not be looked at as 'bonus points', after you load up on a weaker team. That's a game that, competitively, you should want to win more than CBJ; that's a game that, because it's in front of your home fans, you should want to win more; that's a game that, yes, because it's Saturday night, and the feature game on HNIC, you should want to win more. Don Cherry would remind us how many visiting players are more motivated when they play in Toronto. Opposing players say in pregame interviews that being in Toronto on a Saturday is special. Babcock sees Saturday, at home, as just another 1 of 82 games. Alas, despite our hopes or logic, unless Dubas or Shanahan or Tannenbaum gets into Babcock's ear about it, this back-to-back philosophy isn't likely to change.

23 before before Sam Steel threw his stick for a penalty shot, Alexandar Georgiev threw his stick at Ovechkin, which resulted in an awarded goal. Stick throwing rule is pretty simple: you can't throw it in the direction of the puck. Period. If you do, it breaks down thusly: if there is no goalie, thrown stick results in an awarded goal; if there is a goalie and a player throws his stick: penalty shot. If the goalie throws his stick: awarded goal. Also, when the Leafs were up 4-1, I thought it was a perfect time for the Habs to change into Bruins jerseys. Metaphorically, at least. I'm sure Babcock enjoyed that game.
