Samsonov made his return to the Leafs on Jan 14th. He's since played 16 games and gone 13-3. In this stretch, he's averaging a 2.38 GAA and .913 Sav%. Also to note, he played 15 games before he was sent down for conditioning. How on earth does he still have a sav% below 900 (at .889) and a GAA above 3.0 (at 3.06)? Like, I remember him having a rough start, but I don't remember it being that rough. With 17 games left, I'm rooting for this man to hit .900 and hopefully at least a 2.75.

About the hand pass by Matthew’s an example to look how little you have to touch the puck to be a hand pass ex. Boston vs Florida game 6 buddy knicked it with the tip of his finger while not even trying to do that because he was picking up his stick and it touched.

After watching the replay, Jarnkrok obviously used his left hand to brace himself going into the boards. Probably jammed his wrist. Also, Samsonov's 7 straight road wins are against Philly, Montreal, Arizona, Colorado, St. Louis, Winnipeg, & Seattle. 2 playoff teams & 5 teams with a losing record. I'm not exactly impressed since they chose to sit Samsonov at Boston, at Vancouver, and at Edmonton. They gave Jones the tougher games, and he's supposed to be the 3rd string goalie.

As of March 15, the Leafs have played 65 games of which 29 were against teams that are currently in the playoffs. Their record in those games is 9RW, 5OT/SO, 5T and 10L. That means that out of a possible 58 points against playoffs teams they have earned 33. That is not good. Beating up on non-playoff teams is obscuring that this team is not ready to take on the top teams in the playoffs. Beating Philly, who is currently out of the playoffs, by 6-2 after the Lightning beat them 7-0 doesn't mean a lot as to how ready they are for the playoffs. Nothing to hang your hat on.

Thank you, I'll show myself out. But yes, asking coaches right after games about injuries and expecting a real answer is just silly. Sure, people want to know, but saying something wildly inaccurate because the player hasn't seen a doctor yet is not something any coach should ever do, so even if the reporters "have to ask" the question, it's always going to be dumb.

I have always always said, the biggest thing that keeps Toronto from being a fantastic team is their lack of will to go in and crush opponents. You're in a professional league! 6-1 and they took a penalty, PUNISH THEM! Up 3 goals? Don't take super big risks but maybe, just maybe keep playing the way you did to get up three goals! It is far too seldom that we watch Toronto go into a game against a team they clearly outmatch and have them just pulverize them. Like we should have been champing at the bit for every Blackhawks game this season... We were champing at the bit for those games, but the Leafs clearly kept looking past those games.
