A lot of those that record themselves doing acts of kindness make enough money from the views to be able to continue to do it more. It may be narcissistic, but it also perpetuates the kindness and helps more and more people. So yes its a behavior that seems self centered, but if it allows more people in need to get some help - I'll happily click and watch to get the views up so more can be helped. Comes down to how genuine and wholesome you view the creator. Love this channel for the dialogue and knowledge passed between father and his children. As a Father, this is the type of relationship I strive for with my own. To not only pass on my knowledge, but to have a child that asks the questions to expand on the dialogue. Much respect.

Especially during these protest...thank God nobody got anybody as far as I can tell, but still...you'll never know about it because we're still suppose to be social distancing and the cops got their hands full at the moment! The meaning of the song (straight from the band) if we as a country turn a blind eye to the evil, turn away from the chaos like it doesn't exist we all lose. They are putting that we need to make a change in our country no matter what ethnic, religious, or whatever background you come from. Stand up together or everyone falls together.

The start of the video expanded on the quote as "We can choose to flourish or die. Whatever we choose. We will do it together." But we can't choose to flourish if we all stand divided ready to fight to the last. These are dark days and everyone is so up in arms and ready to throw anyone under the bus for their own means that no one will step back and listen to reasoning.

Really enjoyed the reaction and feedback from both of you. One thing I noticed a lot of people aren't picking up on is the color changes of the people in this video. For example, look at the dude yelling at the lady giving birth at the beginning. She's black and white, but her reflection is colored. Also, look at the kid shooting up the school, he looks scared and sad while he's shooting. There's some real deep shit here, and a lot of disturbing images/videos that are today's reality. Such a damn good video and song. PS: The song itself hasn't changed, other than adding Joyner Lucas part at the beginning.

To me, everyone in gray is already marked for dead... there are moments of decision where someone in color starts to fade to gray; like they still had a chance, but in that moment their choices doomed them. Jmho

@@julieblackwell2064 yeah, that's what i mean. Difficult to clarify.
@severinaburkhamer76814 жыл бұрын
There's a comment up higher that explains it pretty damn well. Its a reply to a comment, think it had 4 replies. But that persons interpretation, in my opinion, is that color to grey, color they have a choice to make and when they fade to grey, the choice has been made by them, or for them.

There's a difference between wanting likes and retweets for getting your message across and it being well received and wanting likes and retweets just to go viral, some social media fame and money being the end objective and the only thing you care about. Take your homeless man example, if he was helping him because he genuinely cared, he would wish he could do more and have some satisfaction in hoping the little he did might have helped in that moment. Narcissistic people don't know that they're narcissists.

One thing I noticed was that twice the song said "I can't breathe", which is a very powerful message right now. I think the band is calling out a wide variety of social issues, one of which is the murder of George Floyd. I hope we can soon address all of the issues brought up in this video, but we're at least 150 years late on dealing with racism. Why has it taken so long? i don't get it.

I've been thinking that one thing that would've been cool is if it showed the military coming in and shooting the guy who bought that woman, shot the white guy who opened fire on the two black guys, killed the school shooter, etc. Because domestically that is what the military is here for. More so the national guards, but I thought that would've been awesome to see. I don't think the military is bad. The bad rep the military gets is from poor choices made by those that are higher in command. The military, in any branch, does not make a single move until advised otherwise or unless fired upon. Plus they have the discipline to take a bullet before firing one unlike the police force. Police are good but something needs to change systematically for people to trust them at this point.
