Great review, thanks for sharing. I only have space for 32" TVs, and lots of reviews try and hold these sets to the same standards as 50" 4K models, which isn't fair. Finding a good, small set can be tricky - this LG looks like a good option for me 🙂

Yes, I was definitely positively surprised by this one - it might seem like a true low end with its Full HD screen, but actually it is equipped with same settings and features like mainstream TVs. I see that Samsung didn't even release anything in 32-inches this year to compare to this one (The Frame is different type and different price category).

Hey Marcello! I don't have the equipment to confirm that it is flicker free, but from my experience there is no flicker present. In PC mode it is good to be used as a PC monitor and I'll make a video about this topic.

All LG TVs and virtually all TVs have flicker due to the backlight system. It's debatable whether it can be seen with the naked eye and having lights on room while watching would negate it anyway. It seems to be a selling point in monitors but I doubt it matters more than a marketing point for monitor brands.

My mum... has a Bush 720p TV from 2008. Don't get me wrong, for build quality, its a complete budget end brand but jesus it has never missed a beat and not a dead pixel in sight. But, its old, its a bit bulky, it's 720p and an old panel tech 720p at that. I would like to have gotten her a 4K screen but she always said she didn't want larger than 32inches and well im not made of money so this tv looks like a good fit. I own an LG nano86 myself so I do have experience with LG and I adore the colours on mine, so a nice crisp 1080p image with a dash of HDR and for under £200?! seems perfect. Merry Christmas mum. 32” TVs are not really optimized for gaming, especially if you want 4k/120 hz/ VRR. For that it is better that you buy a 32” monitor.

😂 2% and 10%?? This set has no local dimming, 10% is the same as 100%. 2% if you're lucky will be less. You don't buy a tv like this for HDR 🙄

Thought about picking up this tv after seeing this video but the version sold here only has 1 HDMI port (without eARC), I would probably run it with a Chromecast and disable HDR (was looking at a 32" Philips with Ambilight so probably going to swing that direction again)

Darko, what's the difference between the Backlight setting and Contrast? The effect seems to be very similar. Contrast definitely doesn't do what I know a contrast slider should do.

Hey Alex - backlight controls light intensity of LEDs, while Contrast affects white level - how many details are visible in highlights. Contrast also has an influence of image brightness, so usually it needs to be lowered to reveal more details and then compensated with increased Backlight value.

That sounds good, plus you can adjust gamma to get brighter image. As long as Backlight is not at max value all the time you are OK for many many years to come.

Check the full model number on the back of the tv: 32L06 etc. .BEUKLJP (the K is the version with VA panel). To test, use the age old VA vs IPS test by running your finger across the screen, if it leaves a trail it is a VA panel

Great video! My Samsung 32T5370 just died after less than 2 year and I wanted to try anotber brand. Do you suggest this one to replace the old one? Hey Antonio! I also don't know which panel was in your Samsung model (not specified here: www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/be921dfa), but I expect it is the same VA panel like in this LG. So if you were happy with viewing angles on Samsung, you will be happy with this TV. It's surprisingly well equipped for an entry level model and until now it is my main recommendation in this price category. I haven't seen any Samsung TV in this price range, only old 2020 model.

I don't know about ur tvs but reading reviews on both model on Russian sites i read that old model lm6350 has better viewing angles for gaming then new lq6350. Ips vs va. But number of panel was druflju,this is an ips panel. My 43' tv has the same code. So before buying u'd find out the code on the back of tv. Find it out on ur sites. The guy from review replaced the new model on old, because of ips panel.But on fotos and reviews on lq6350 this is an ips panel code... so i don't know too where the truth is.

I just got this tv and I noticed it looks low quality when I use my Xbox with it. Like all the icons for my games look pixelated and any writing looks really pixelated and low quality. I found that lowering the sharpness makes the writing look less bad but then it makes everything else look blurry. Is there any way I can fix this?😔

That’s because this model has HD ready or full HD physical resolution, so it cannot display as sharp image as native UHD 4K.

@@trei2unu Yes, it's extremely unusual for Sony to buy in a TV from another company. It's also why it doesn't have X-Reality PRO, Sony's own picture processing chip (they just use 'Bravia Engine' as a marketing term for Philips/TPV's processor). It's fine though because Philips make great TVs! Ironically, Sony and Philips used to have a history together (inventing CD, audio codecs, DVD+RW etc), but that was decades ago.

Can you turn off HDR entirely? Apps like Disney+ force HDR, but these cheaper LCD’s don’t get bright enough for HDR, resulting in a darker image.

Hey Fabio - TV has a VA panel so the angle is not great - best to sit directly in front of the screen. If you need wider angles, check TVs with IPS panel (you can check that by entering model number on displayspecifications.com).

Hey Alokendu! LM series is quite old and I don't have it with me. According to this website, it used IPS panel: www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/38742636 Basically, LQ63 has higher contrast so it is better for watching movies and it also uses newer software with better upscaling so it is definitely a better choice.
