Direct Drive means the drum is driven by the motor at the rear. If a machine has a belt and it broke, then the drum won’t rotate. It’s got nothing to do with keeping the drum in place. Add Item only works during the wash stage not during rinses. You would open the main door to add item once the machine allows you to open the door if you select Add Item at beginning of wash.

Just got the lg direct drive 7kg had it a week now 🎉🎉🎉Very happy .. i had top loader 8kg and it was still under warrenty and sent back 2x and paid in for the lg 😅! So very happy 🎉🎉

@@OurSimpleLyfe It had serious mechincal problems it was 8kg defy south African brand . Suxing out water in the middle of the wash .. .. defy 2 repairs and the same problems .. Defy sent a new unit and the washer did not even want to make the washing motion and it had griding noises .. So i wanted a refund and got a credit and paid in for the LG Direct drive 7kg was worth it .🥰🥰🥰 The most slient eco washing machine ,removes all stains I use the 30 quick wash ..

Love this! We’ve got a 16/17 year old hotpoint it’s done a heck of a good job, just ordered a high end lg so i’ll do a video like this as this was brilliant! 😍 Edit: Also love that you use a long cotton wash! I find the quick wash’s kill machines very fast lol so 10/10 for that! i subscribed :)

you gotta adjust the 4 feet so it is even with the floor, this will reduce vibration when on spin and helps prolong its life span

I have one of these, the add wash feature is thus....while the light is still on you can add other garments by opening the door, if the light is not on you cant. It comes with a full 5 year washing machine warranty. The ten year warranty is only for the Direct drive motor. To be honest though its a fantastic machine....puts my 2 year old beko to shame. The tub clean feature is the mutts nuts too. I'll never buy a belt driven washing machine again.👍

I had indesit innex bit older than this I think, but the one with just the buttons not knobs. 8kg water balance 1600rpm inverter motor. Mine served me well but was still working when I sold it but died a year after a I sold it so I got the LG basically at the right time.

The lowest temperature is 20 degrees there is also a cold wash option. It has a speed 14 option which means your clothes will be washed in 14minutes depending on what temperature you have chosen etc.

I was looking if you have the eco mode? I push eco for every program I use. It saves water and energy. 😊 congrats with your new helper! 👍 OMG that is noisy. You can adjust the feet to fit the floor. Get the guys back to fix it. If you let it continue, you can damage the floor as well as the machine.

It does have an eco function but the cycle is too long on that option. The guys were called back to sort out the feet of the washer. Less noisy now

Just adjust the feet in the corners to match your floor, I had this problem... simple way to sort this is Push your machine back and fore, if it wobbles just adjust the leg(screw underneath)

Did you use detergent? Sorry if you did but I saw a stain remover for in the prewash, scent booster and then fabric conditioner? No actual washing powder? The stain remover won’t be doing a proper clean alone x

Yes, you can. Select the option on the touch panel that says "Spin", choose the speed and press start.

If there is a power cut or something - is there a way to drain the water when the power comes back up?

If there's a power cut once the power is back on just continue with your cycle as usual. Just know that a cycle that would have been 1 hour would probably increase to a bit longer as the clothes are now wet and heavy so the sensor would detect that and add more time. I don't see a pump or drain option on this model. Hope this helps 🩵

If there is a power cut you can manually drain the water from the bottom front of the machine. But LG thought of this and as soon as power is restored it will automatically do it for you 👍

U misunderstood Eco 40-60 its washing at 40 degrees but in longer so wash performance is like 60 its on all machines 👍and the water coming out ur sink happens to my area where my nswr is cuz the plummbing my bsch dosent have that as its a diffrent plumbing

Please can u measure the inner drum depth and tell me, just the inner steel part not the outer machine. Actually i am planning to buy this machine in 8kg and the drum looks a bit small so want to know the difference between 8kg and 10.5kg. Also how long does it take to wash full load in cotton mode without selecting the other options. Thank you.

Hi Nortia, the measurements are Depth with the internal drum backing stuck out is 30cm. The depth flattest part is 34.5cm. The height is 50cm. I hope this helps?
