success, great guide. could you do a guide with flashify? I've not tried it, and won't now that I'm rooted/unlocked, but I'm sure people would find that helpful and much easier than running adb commands. Cheers!

so I was lucky enough to get a Loki on the S4 which is great honestly. Correct me if I'm wrong, but dont the LGs also have a knox like bootloader? For some reson i'm thinking they did? do you think the S4 will ever get a fully unlocked BL?

If you install a Rom and do the factory reset before you install it will it delete TWRP since its on the internal SD?

Use flashify which is free from the play store and you don't have to bother with a computer or the commands. Just download twrp and flash.

I am unable to get the device to appear when doing adb devices...gives error..any thought?

I used flashify from the play store on my sprint lg g3 to flash the img file and was able to complete this process on my phone without using my computer. So no command prompt and app also lets you reboot into recovery automatically. Without doing the vol + pwr thing

What do I need on my computer already and where can I find them before I attempt this? As in drivers, anything related to adb, etc? I haven't unlocked the bootloader on a device in a while because for Verizon it's rare to come by for an unlockable one.

Looks good...I received an error of /sdcard/twrp-2.8.0.0_vs985-signed.img: cannot open for read: No such file or directory on terminal when performing the 4th step. Any suggestions?

on verizon you just press and hold power+volumeup until twrp boots, but i think on other variants you hold volumeup+power until you see the LG screen and then let go of volume+ only
