Nice G3 oled dude. Had The C2 a couple months now and it has breathed new life back in to gaming for me and made all games pop on the ps5. It has even convinced my partner to start playing some games. Tech is just going through the roof currently.

qd oled can maybe 5 percent brighter colors with there qd oled. but i dont like it. it looks to fake for me. also processing on the lg g3 better with sdr content. and dolby vision is also great.

Big year for LG. At the end of 21' local korean news said that LG have MLA as their ace in the sleeve already and they are in the last phase of testing blue pholed,I didn't believe then but now when MLA is out 20 months before everyone expected it I am just shocked.

Amazing review, very thorough and helpful. I have the LG C1 and love it as much as the day it was new! No burn-in, or any other problems with 4-5hrs daily use. This is the first TV I have owned that I did not all-mount, and I really like the flexibility. I always wonder what is the point of wall-mounting a big TV when there is usually a stand/furniture located directly below the TV? Doesn't seem worth the trouble.

Brought the G3 77” and using the LG wall mount. Although the LG mount can be scary when it clicks into place. The screws that LG include to hold the TV metal mount frame to the wall plate are crazy tiny. We have a metal frame house so we had to use toggle bolts to hang on the wall. It be nice if manufacturers didn’t simple assume your a regular wood frame home. If they gave you the option to purchase a different wall kit based on the type of home you have brick, metal or wood. It is good screen for playing games, very bright, sound is good too. I just wish there was someway to turn on a screen saver when playing games if you forget to hit the home button. LG should update the clock function for a nighttime mode, the clock is to bright in the evening. Apart from that glad we purchased. Good review.

@@deanwilliams433 it would be easy to avoid any e-waste by simply having the wall kit as a separate pack from the TV packaging. So when you buy the TV you than select the wall kit that you need to hang the TV on the wall. I mean there is already a lot of e-waste because the kit that came with our TV we mostly didn’t use. Plus there is already a lot of e-waste from customers who don’t use the wall hanging kit LG provides they use their own. So not including the kit would save on waste. You make the base kit free, the other two kits at a nominal fee.

Nice G3 OLED! I too have the C1 from launch but it developed a power issue and I've just had it deemed faulty :( Unlucky but I've received credit towards a replacement and I was looking at the G3 65" . Great to see it does appear to be a huge upgrade. Awesome vid! Keen for the full review :)

4:40 You should have put a 2-inch water pipe in the wall instead of just passing the wires there, this is what I did last month, much easier to pass and replace the wires whenever needed. Wall mounting my TV was the best decision ever, having no wires visible is magnificent!

I made the unnecessary, luxury, purchase of a LG C2 77” during Black Friday of 2022. I love the TV! I play Xbox on it every week and love casual playing on it! I imagine this new model isn’t drastically different, so this model should be amazing as well.

Great review and helpful details.I installed my G3 a couple of weeks ago and agree with everything you said. The brightness is unreal, still tweaking my settings and running in the panel. To be honest the picture is actually getting better. Well worth the money.

The 83 inch model does not have the MLA coding. I purchased the 77 G3 absolutely amazing picture. I’m coming from a 77 C9. You mentioned that there were no negatives, but there is one negative not so much for me because I use a Sonos system, but the TV probably has the worst sound of any TV I’ve ever owned. So you definitely need to use a Soundsystem which is what you would expect with the TV this size anyway but if somebody is buying a 55 inch version for their bedroom and don’t want to use a sound bar, they will be disappointed with the sound.

Returned my G3 with dirty screen effect and window tinting. For the price, I couldn’t put up with those flaws. I replaced it with a QD OLED from Samsung. So happy I went through the trouble of switching. I have perfect picture and better colors from the QD

Finally. A review that mentions VESA points which I would use as I have a cantilever tele stand. It’s certainly up there for quality of screen. I’ve yet to see a G3 at my local electrical retailer, but I’d be seriously tempted to replace my CX to a G3 television. Just need to see Sony’s A80L as I’ve seen the Samsung S95C which looks great. Such difficult decisions.

Its reflection handling is because of an antiglare coating, which is new for this year's model, and not something I'd usually call a good thing. Was hoping for more explicit discussion about this.

I actually liked it on my g3. Cut down on reflections and no light smearing or any issues with it. It does make the screen look a bit purple when the tv is off but that's not a big deal.

Too bad that the included wall mount is completely useless here in Norway, since virtually no one have studs that are only 40 centimeters apart. I guess I'll have to get a proper one from the US, along with a custom made TV stand from Poland and movie shelves from the UK. So hard to find exactly what I need around these parts, and importing big and heavy items can be more than twice as expensive since the shipping rates are sky high.

Got mine a couple of days ago and I have it sitting in its base (main box/packaging was removed by the delivery team) and waiting to be lifted out and set up on a table stand (I don't have wall space to wall mount it). But your video misses out the critical bit of the unboxing - getting it out of the box base. In principle it's easy (if HEAVY) but watching someone do it makes a huge difference.

Love my 77 inch CX, out of the box software was not great though. Took a few months to work out the bugs which for a 5.5k TV is not acceptable. Gonna run with my CX till MicroLED

TV picture is fabulous and thanks for the very informative video. Cable management is a let down though with bulk of cables off to one side and power hard wired in down the middle, potentially having to cut two channels into the wall to hide. This is a major flaw for a TV that can only be wall hung in my view.
