The flicker issue is 1000% your cable. I also had it on my C2. NOTHING helps for a long time. Not even buying the most expensive HDMI cables. However: It gets 100% fixed if you use an optical HDMI cable! They are not even that expensive (30 bucks on amazon). The actual issue is not gsync or your gpu or your PC or your TV. Its static charge on the electronics that somehow is not properly shielded with LG TVs. They have some sort of fault on their TVs mainboards. Just buy an optical cable like the ones from FIBBR and you will never have any flicker ever again.
@DirtyDan30902 ай бұрын
Thanks for the advice i hope this fixes a similar issue I had with my c2 where HDR content would flicker ghosting colors and look bad, bought this c4 and a optical hdmi and I hope that fixes the issue i had while gaming
@coleweldenАй бұрын
Pretty sure the flicker issue is just VRR. That's really normal for an OLED. If you're using VRR (Freesync / Gsync / Adaptive Sync), and not maxing out the panel in FPS, then you get those flashes. Try turning off whatever VVR sync you're using and I bet you it will go away. This was present on 1st and 2nd Gen LG WOLED ultrawides, the newest set of QD-OLED, and most other monitors. For TVs I haven't seen it as much. Usually because I wouldn't be running VRR on a TV. Worth a try.

@Macho_Man_Randy_Savage6 ай бұрын
@@haleygao static images over long periods of time will cause burn in. the one thing that really annoyed me about the c2 was the asbl, which caused dimming of the picture in games and regular desktop use. i was forced to turn it off using a service remote. i believe that was the only thing i actually turned off, i also had my brightness to 100% for a bit. after about a year the burn in became noticeable even with a screensaver and being mindful, it's too easy to over expose it with static images during desktop use. maybe if you run it at really low brightness but at that point it's just annoying and not worth it. it is what it is, i think the picture you get is too good to not use an oled. i have since set up different brightness levels for desktop/gaming use. no regrets and i'd turn off asbl again on any newer model if it was ruining my experience.

Dude... just use Expert Bright picture mode with Game mode and 444 Chrome + HDMI PC mode and you'll get 400 nits or so. That's a super bright display with the right settings. That's number one. Number two, perceived brightness is related to the inverse square law, the larger the display and the closer it is to your eyes, the more perceived brightness. 42" is 75% larger than 32". So the nits on both displays are not comparable. simply if we take two displays with the declared brightness per square centimeter, for example, 200 nits, then the larger screen simply has a much higher luminous flux. for example, Apple Watch conditionally has 2 thousand nits of brightness per square centimeter. But it's a very small screen. therefore, the luminous flux from this small screen is not even close, not even 1/50 will approach the luminous flux from a 42-inch OLED TV, which does not even have 1k nits, and a maximum of about 800. same with qd oled 32 g80sd. You can try it with your display. just look really close and far away and you will notice if you look close - you will get discomfort from high brightness. that's how our eyes and physics works.

This C4 tops out at 144Hz so a 4080 would be enough to handle most games with DLSS

But but... what the hell is that blur on your screen when you move and turn man?!! How the hell?!! Turn the blur off and distortion for god sakes! What good a 0.03 pixel refresh rate good for if you smudge and blur everything when you move and poor pixels just crying over these settings I can clearly hear them! Jesus man... O.O

Just too big for pc gaming i think
@boost916 ай бұрын
Depends how far away you are... At a desk... Yup!! But for some ppl (controller users maybe) whom might have it on the wall or something... Bigger could make sense...
@_ATHENODOROS_6 ай бұрын
@@boost91 Yeah I guess with proper distance could make sense. Yet again i strongly believe PC/Monitor - Consoles/TV. Thanks for your input.

@@_ATHENODOROS_ different strokes... Here's another setup possibility... I play primarily racing games with wheel and pedal setup in my room and my display is on the wall so on and so forth you get what I'm saying... But yeah this seems big on desk .. But then again... maybe some ppl want that... If so, good for them! 👍
@pawek97036 ай бұрын
IMO it just the matter of proper distance and you'll get used to it. When I bought my first 32" display I was like "OMG its so huge, how Ill handle it?!" - and after a few years I can't imagine working on a smaller one.
@FIREWOLFTECH6 ай бұрын
I think you’re referring to it being too big for a Gaming Desk Setup. A lot of it depends on viewing distances, size of your desk, and also how you scale the Display. I think whenever you see a huge size bump in TVs or even how phones got so big, the initial reaction is “it’s too big” but when you’re using it for a while, you get used to it. This is how I feel every time I switch screen sizes, takes a few days to get accustomed
