Surprising result! But, which would be better for taking pics of my interior painting and decorating work? I am leaning towards Pixel as it seems close up shots and colour accuracy will be better than G6.

I had the G6 for the past 5 months, and your test was one of the trigger. However I was disappointed of the g6's camera, previously owned the g4 and g5 which where Superior. Now I am running a pixel XL and the G6 feels like a Chinese phone next to it. There is no comparison. The pictures look really natural, very close to my Olympus mirorless camera. The small sensor on the G6 and the awfully image processing ruins the camera. In some situations I think the pixel selfie can performs better than the G6 main camera. No joke. I also performed a factory reset on the G6 every month as it got slow.... .

Even though I like comparison videos personally I find them pointless because they're all subjective and not objective I liked pictures from both ends some I like better from the pixel than I do the LG G6 and vice versa even though I don't agree with everything in this video it was still a good comparison video

I own a pixel ( that means that i've tested it in a lot more situations than that) and i can tell you that the colors looks unatural due to the hdr procesing.

Some of it falls down to what you take photos of, some of it falls down to having an eye for things like framing, lighting, leading lines, etc. Everyone does have different experience, so I typically like to read the thoughts of people I respect and follow personally. -Adam

could you try to shoot playing kids , running dogs , shooting ufo's ;) etc.. point and shoot .. to see if there is a delay. i know LG G4 was worse in this so i turned to samsung s7 which is great in fast autofocus when taking pictures

The S8 DEFINITELY has a quicker autofocus, I felt that in my testing. I can't speak to how it compares to the G4, but the G6 never left me feeling frustrated. -Adam

check autofocus speed of LG G6 IT IS SO WORSE no quick point and shoot photos ..all /most pics get blurry. I tried it in shop. S oif you plan to shoot playing kids and do not want to miss that special moment without photo get blurry . then do not buy LG G6 . IT IS SLOW !! in shooting still pics LGg6 IS great. IDG.tv I just don't get where that camera's rep comes from. It's decidedly average at best in lowlight then you've got the lens flare issue which which somehow folks thought would be fixed with a software update when it's down to lens quality not software related. idg.tv

IDG.tv I think a little too much emphasis is being placed on the pixels post hdr processing which mind you regularly prioritises the sky above all else resulting in some pretty dark foregrounds. The pixel really isn't an all round performer. The camera performance does diminish considerably once you move indoors and kidsin lowlight. The lens flare and blurry shots just adds to that negatively. Still scratch my head how it could have ever been considered the best camera. A bit of Google nexus love going on I think.
