Yes, very helpful My LG came apart a little differently (mild to moderate swearing required) from yours but the fix was the same. A couple of years ago we had some mice and before they were eradicated, they chewed one of the wires. It took several months for the igniter to completely quit.

When there is no spark how do you know its the spark igniter and not the relay connector which the spark igniters are wired into ?

use a current detector on the connection to see if any current shown
