This is a copilot PC, but it’s not gonna matter because WWDC just came out with Apple putting a ridiculous amount of AI features on their MacBooks and the M4 will be the MacBooks for this year not the M3 so Apple is still coming

My mom just got a 16in LG gram and it has its ups and downs. I have a 16 in macbook pro m1 pro and when I picked up her laptop I almost threw it it was so light, but I can tell a massive performance difference. After going to an M series chip, windows laptops just feel cluttered and sluggish. But the battery life is great on both and she got it on sale from costco so she paid significantly less then I did for my laptop.

As for me, OLED on a laptop, especially on an expensive laptop is a disadvantage because of burnt out images on the screen. It's OK for a reasonable priced phone because you replace it more often and you need better battery life and a brighter screen on your phone to use it outside. But for a laptop longer screen lifespan is more important

I understand this is sponsored, so you must make the LG look good, but this is a warped comparison. No one in the market for this LG GRAM would have an MB Air as an alternative. With the current Macbook discounts, you can find an MB Pro M3 Pro for around the price of this LG Gram. Of course, that would mean the MB Pro is winning in every metric!

You could get 2 LG Grams for the weight of the 16in MB pro. Not everybody needs so much power. Being sufficiently powerful but superlight is important. Extra ports avoid dongles, even less weight, also the charger is much lighter. And you can also play some light games on the Gram, contrary to the Macbook. And almost nobody pays full retail value for the Grams, they get huge discounts after a couple of months.

I have LG gram 2022 16" with rtx2050. It was curious to see this comparison, even if its promoted. And I think its fair comparison, since 16" MacBook pro is too much heavier, but lg gram 16 and macbook air 15 still are ultrabooks.

Would have been nice if you had included Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop tests in the video alongside the battery percentage on both laptops at the end. Obviously we know the MacBook is going to win in battery life... but it would have given a good indicator of how much a ~40% improvement we can expect in the new Intel Lunar Lake launching at the end of the year.

I just got the M3 MBA 15" I only upgraded the storage to 516GB and haven't been disappointed. I just want to watch videos and send emails, maybe occasionally edit a very small video. 8GB ram is disappointing but I'm coming from a windows laptop that also had 8GB and the mac is much more optimised that I haven't noticed swap memory affecting my productivity whereas the windows laptop took forever turn on lasted 4 hours on battery, performed half as good when unplugged and had a terrible screen with equally terrible brightness. this MacBook is leagues above it and is only slightly more expensive. airdrop and the natural compatibility with apple products like Airpods is amazing. my desktop will always be windows but I'm sold on MacBook's for my laptops now.

But rather than that you went for the ultra expensive 2tb and 24gb ram only because you were looking to say that the lg is cheaper. And you went for a fanless design vs with fan. I like the Apple M3 better... It saves me going to the gym, I put it in a backpack, put it on my back and I can do squats and have a strong body. On the other hand, the LG... is for people who want to carry a feather on their back and not make any effort. Thank you Apple for making products designed for us athletes and hard-working people... thank you for making bricks with a keyboard. @DustyKing I think it depends on the use case, I can get more out of the windows laptop, than I ever could with the Mac....not to mention....I can max out storage on it to the tune of 8 TERABYTES...(2 "4TB" ssd's....so to me there's move value with the LG...PLUS?....when at some point it's reached its end of Life? I can wipe the drives clean and run Linux on it for YEARS to come!....so yeah....another plus for the LG!

I understand that Apple is trying to get all of THEIR Apple products to work with one another. But it is rather discouraging to see that there is no attempts to get their OS Systems to be able to work with Microsoft Software Products. I use a lot of Ham Radio Products that work very well on Microsoft Computers. But the Ham Radio Software that has been developed for the MAC are lack luster at best. Apple was promoting how Game Developers have made their games work with the MAC, IPhone and IPADS. But why is Apple not working with other Microsoft Software Developers to get their products to work with the MAC OS? That I just don't understand.
