i tried everything even putting it in the freezer for 15 mins.. nothing worked. took to a repair guy and replacing the battery. better to be safe then keep trying these steps and getting no results.. the phone did charge but I still got the black screen and when i hit the power and volume down button. the phone battery light did go on and off but still a black screen so Im still thinking the phone overheated and the battery as well so if i wasted 70 bux on a new battery and it works, it was worth it but if not guess time to find my old phones but lets hope tomorrow I get teh fixed phone

OMG you saved my life. I just literally got this phone a few weeks ago maybe? And I havent had my phone die yet so I didnt know if it was dead or not so i started having a panic attack about my brand new phone possibly being broken now. YES!!! Thank you!!! I have dropped my phone on the deck twice in a weeks period time. Yesterday, my battery was going low, and wouldn't charge and had an alert telling me all apps aren't working. I tried resetting it, but no. Plugged it in all night, and still no luck. So, found this video and went straight to the massage method. Used a cloth and pressed hard. Actually heard a couple of soft snaps, and bam!!! Phone is up and charging as we speak!!!

I just wanted to say that the massage technique is eat I did to mine to get It to start charging again. Somewhere near bottom section of screen. I dropped mine and it wouldn't charge. It took me a long time to figure out what was wrong. Good advice man. I watched video to make sure you showed at least that. Good job bro.
