I have the B7A, and with a update, Dolby Atmos was available through the internal speakers. So it’s a surprising plus, but I wasn’t planning on using the internal speakers anyways, so it was fine if it did or didn’t have Dolby Atmos. Also i like the B7 stand better than the C7

if LG doesn't show previous year OLED buyers some updates, it'll hurt their reputation. Seeing as how its just one year since the B6 and C6, and LG never mentions it when they're talking about firmware updates, it's hard not to feel jaded. Simple updates would keep their existing customer happier and feeling less abandoned. - such as atmos via ARC (ARC is required for surround sound on apps such as the VUDU app on the TV, which is arguably the most advanced version compared to any streaming box) They also haven't fixes the firmware issue where it made the HDR game mode obnoxiously dark. My advise to ANYONE using an LG OLED. Turn off the auto update feature. Don't install firmware unless it adds a feature that you want, or fixes a bug that you actually notice. Otherwise you run the risk of stuff like what happened to the B6 and C6 last year.

i bought a b7 55" for 1200$ and its amazing i gotta tell u 4k content from netflix are dank also ton of 4k material are available on youtube and torrent site rarbag 1080p with super resolution on high is very good i havent try my console on it but i will soon to check the input lag which they say its 21 ms i had an lg la6800 which was 60 ms that shit was laggy and not responsive on gaming mode

John, very helpful video but I have a question you may be able to help me with. My TV was set up by a Spectrum Rep and he did not set any of the screen resulotions out of the box. I have been trying a very simply demonstration of the best setting to use for normal in home use with a normal room with normal daylight lighting. I have not noticed any reflective issues with the TV screen, but the blacks to see too black occasionally.

Can I ask what mount you’re using? You have a very clean setup. I picked up a 65” B7A today at Best Buy (display model) for $1449 absolute mint condition but the mounts ya there store are below par and looking for ultra slim. I was thinking the Vogel Thin 505 or Sanus Slim Mount what’s your thoughts?

if youu're playing the same game 24/7 for hours on end then you might have a problem....for normal usage I doubt you will ever see any kind of burn-in

Peter Ottmann you just gotta make sure you play other content too. Like if you’re playing a game with a map or something that never changes for like 4+ hrs then that can be a problem. Just make sure to take a break from it like watch a movie or videos on it for a little bit while the pixels get a break you know. This tv is the best but you need to take care of it. It comes with more responsibility too.

Great video! Can’t wait to get my B7A next month. Can you explain how you got your Apple TV integrated into the web os and how you use your LG magic remote to control everything. Will it also control my sound if I hook up a sound bar to the tv using optical? I’m trying to avoid buying a harmony remote if I can. Thanks!

When you run through the setup you get to program the magic remote. It is all very easy you will see. You do not need the harmony.

I would watch out for burn in that can happen when an image stays on for too long. That said the tv is very good and has the best picture 👍🏼 good luck

I am glad you are getting the tv. The B7 will passthrough Atmos. So get the B7 in my opinion:) All 2017 WOLEDs support Atmos-over-ARC (including the B7A). .... B7A has 2.0 speakers and will only pass through Atmos, but not play it through internal ...

The B7A doesn’t have Dolby Atmos you need the B7P for that.

Perhaps you are referring to the fact that the B7 and C7 do not come with a built-in sound bar that tries to produced the Atmos effect, but after the recent update, ALL of LG's 2017 OLEDs can "pass through" and decode Dolby Atmos to an external soundbar or AV system if one is connected.

Oled is not ready yet for primetime, check a 5% gray slide and white slide in a dark room and let us know what you see. Banding and yellow/pink tint is a major issue in Oled.

khalid zaoui Yes, it's a hit or miss when it comes to these issues. If you should havd some of the issues you stated, just return it and get another one. That is why it is important to buy it from someone with easy return or exchanges.

Yes vertical banding seems to be an issue. You never know what you are going to get. Some are worst than others. The c7 I tried had them when I did the test (even had a horizontal line). Did not affect the viewing for me until I played the game Inside (mostly grey screen). I could also see on the grey background of the xbox dashboard. Did not see any yellow/pink or even blue tint.

One of the worst TV companies in the market. Oled tech is not worth the time and money. Overpriced and till date They have not been able to solve Vertical banding problems closer to 5% grayscale resulting inferior viewing experience. Had three of these returned it back and settled for a 4K Benq peojector. To get the best 4K experience 8.3 million pixels on a 100 inch screen is the only way to go.

It seems half the videos I watch say that most likely you'll get burn in and the other half say you dont have to worry about it unless you're careless and leave it on one image for 20 hours.
