Thanks, this helped. My problem was slightly different, in device manager my monitor was showing as the correct name but the device wasn't enabled... not sure how that makes any sense, but now I've enabled it... success!

Thanks a lot. I just closed Team Viewer, restarted OnScreen and it worked fine on a MacBook Pro 2019 connected to a LG 29WN600-W monitor through a USB-c to HDMI adapter.

I always had a problem, well 2. 1. If I ever turned Brightness down to 0 on my LG 34GK950F, I wouldn't be able to raise it to 100 the next Day or something like that. In order to raise the Brightness back up, I would have to Turn off the Monitor and then turn it back on, or I think I would have to disconnect the power cable altogether and then plug it back in in order to get the brightness slider working again. It was so weird. Since then I've always left the Brightness set to 1 out of 100 and that's helped but never fixed the main problem. 2. Sometimes On Screen control couldn't find my Monitor so again, what I would do is just turn off the Monitor and turn it back on. WELL IT'S BEEN 2 MONTHS OR MORE AND THIS SOFTWARE STILL CAN'T SEEM TO DETECT MY MONITOR ANYMORE, yet in NVIDIA Control panel, I clearly see my GPU is able to detect my exact monitor model and everything. It's so weird!

Mine just sometimes says "OnScreen Control has stopped working" and crashes. Usually when I first boot into Windows 10. But when I checked Device Manager, apparently Windows 10 had taken it upon itself to install over my LG drivers with drivers from 2006. So, I reinstalled the LG drivers and now GSYNC is working properly again.

Solution for Mac: Go to 1. System preferences 2. Displays 3. Tap Colour (Display profile) 4. Select your profile. For me, it was LG HDR WFHD 5. Disconnect HDMI cable 6. Connect HDMI cable again. 7. Check Onscreen Control if everything is working fine.

The LG OnScreen Control Software shows the same issue but your fix doesn't work for me. I already installed the official display driver and it shows up correctly in the device manager with the correct device selected but the problem lives on. Any further ideas?

I figured out the "solution": the software doesn't work if I my second monitor is duplicated on my third monitor. If I disable the duplication and use the third monitor as an extension, OnScreen Control works again. I now use PowerToys in replace.

2:31 Mine says "Oray" Idek what the fuck an Oray is lol. WTF is that? Also mine doesn't say PNP, mine just says "Generic Monitor" (OrayDPMS) I knew it was this! Damn! I don't know what Oray is but I'm going to find out soon. I knew this problem was coming from the Device Manager/Driver. I even looked at it about an hour ago when trying to fix it myself but I was too scared to Disable or Uninstall the Driver lol!

Update: I had to uninstall my software known as "Aweray" It's basically a type of remote access software so I can get on my PC from my Phone. I guess it corrupted and was overriding my Display driver or something. At first, I tried to simply uninstall the software (the Display Monitor driver software) but that didn't work. Only worked once I uninstalled Aweray. I hope I can reinstall it and not have this happen again :( I love that software and it's FREE. I can lock my PC so easily while Im away with that software.

UPDATE: i installed the .INF driver file "LG HDR 4K.inf" manually (right click, install). after reinstallation of onscreen control and reboot everything worked fine again.

@@强葛军师 Oh, i will try it tonight. I have install Windows 10 on my macbook pro via bootcamp. With your Mac machine, what port you use to connect with monitor? USB-C caple or HDMI caple?

Sorry I haven't had problem on my Macbook Pro yet. But maybe you should try to see any software could be conflicted and change the connection to the other ports on your monitor.
