[LG Refrigerator] - How to test the ice maker of a GSM32HSBEH

This video will show you how you can test the ice maker of an LG GSM32HSBEH.
Before checking if your ice maker works, make sure it is ON.
If the Ice On/Off icon is NOT lit, this means the ice maker is turned ON.
If the Ice On/Off icon is lit, this means the ice maker is turned OFF.

@@GrillerGT same here, it’s so bizarre! Ive had it a week and been trying to figure it out, the booklet that came with it, does not explain it. Just copied the steps from this video and “hey presto!!!”. KZbin to the rescue!!

Follow up… forgot to add, although it’s now working, only a little bit of water has gone into the ice tray. It’s not full. Going to leave it a day or 2, see if theres any improvement.

Hi,I’ve tried the reset and it works perfectly, after the tray rotated it filled with water,but it doesn’t rotate again,and the light it’s off,do I have to plug and unplug every time the water in the tray freezes?

No of course you shouldn't have to do that. It might be that the sensor that detects the cubes are finished is not working properly.

I have this model. The reset with pressing the alarm and freezer doesn’t work for me? I’m in Sweden.

Do you mean the tray does not rotate? Did you first unplug the power and plug it back in after 60 seconds? The procedure only works within the first 15 minutes after powering the machine on. And before the tray rotation, all display LED's should first light up. If it's still unsuccessful, there may be a problem with the ice tray motor.

Hello, I've just bought this fridge. I've made the ice maker test. Everything seems to functions properly. However, the ice maker is not filling up with water after the 10 minutes. When I want to drink water, it runs from the fridge fine, it the ice I can't get. Can you help me please ?

My new appliance (this model) has no water to the tray… this reset procedure runs successfully, but still no water runs to the tray. Water is dispensed from the dispenser without problem. The On/Off light has been off for 2-3 days- still no ice. Any ideas? Does the machine need returned?

Apologies for the late replay and thank you for testing this procedure. So your ice maker never got any water in the tray? Indeed the ice maker is on (active) when the icon is OFF, you are correct. And indeed you may need a technician if the water dispenser works but the ice tray does not get any water.

No , this is a non-plumbing model, so it works with a water tank and pump.

So the ice maker trays twists well? And you checked that the Ice On/off icon is not lighting up? When it's lit it means it's OFF.

اعاني من نفس المشكله انا لدي تعبأه داخليه 4لتر كانت تعمل بشكل ممتاز وبعد 6 اشهر توقفت عن العمل تماما وانا لم اقم بتجربت التسليك الخارجي اعتقد بأن lg اثبتت سوء في التصنيع وسعر باهض الثمن للاسف

So there is no water coming into the tray? And are you sure that the ice maker is turned on? The icon should be switched off.
