I performed a test and the ice maker spun around and out came a thick block of ice. No way that block of ice was going to be dispensed. I looked at it several times throughout the day and the ice tray looked normal. It was deceiving. Getting rid of that block fixed the issue of it not dispensing ice. Thank you.

Thank you, I was hoping not have to replace mine. I was getting water, it was making ice but, resetting did not work in getting the arms to push the ice out.

I have the same issue. The ice cubes seem to freeze in the tray and don't get pushed out. Did you find a solution?

If you push the harvest button for 5 seconds on the icemaker and the icemaker still doesn’t go into harvest mode. If the icemaker is getting power the ice maker supposed to work so the icemaker would be faulty.

I liked the video, it was very good, I have the same refrigerator and it happens to me that I don't get ice, the lever doesn't lift, it stays down, do I have to buy the new ice machine or can it be fixed? I await your response, thank you

If you’re referring to the lever on the icemaker that doesn’t move after putting it in diagnostic mode. Therefore, you would have to replace the icemaker if you know that it is getting power.

So your first test did make the ice maker go into harvest mode, why did you replace the entire icemaker anyway?

So what you're saying is, if it doesn't go into full harvest mode, my ice maker is defective?

Yes, if the icemaker doesn’t move at all after pressing the button for five seconds, you need a new icemaker if there’s power to the ice maker. If the icemaker does not complete the harvest mode after pressing them test button, you know you have power to the icemaker and the icemaker is not functioning properly.

Go ahead and put your model number in Google. All the Appliance vendors will pop up pick one and look at the pictorial diagrams and find your icemaker part. Then you will have the number to purchase wherever you want. Appliance vendors: appliancepartspros.com , partselect.com, Searspartsdirect.com, marcone.com, Encompass.com, ect. .

My lg freezer doesn’t get cold. How to check the coils to see if it’s frozen

Remove the evaporator cover panel. If the evaporator is frozen with ice and heavy frost that is a defrost issue. When that happens, you could usually see heavy frost on the back panel of the freezer.

If it is like the one in the video you have a bottom and top back panel? I believe the top panel may overlap the bottom panel where the evaporator is. In that case, you would have to take the top panel off first. The evaporator cover should be held on with clips. And there are a few Phillips screws, hiding behind buttons you pry out to get to the screws. Also, put your model # in appliancepartspros.com to see a breakdown of a part on the evaporator like thermistor/ sensor and see if they have a video about replacing the thermistor.
