@@GeekStreet The G4 is at my local BB and the A95L is in MO, about a 30 minute drive (I'm just East of STL). I'll probably go over there to check it out. I really don't want to buy something that expensive unless I see it in person. I JUST saw, doing a search, that my local store has a 77" A95L on display :) It's bigger than I want (can afford) but at least it's the same model. They're probably getting tired of me window-shopping, though and I'll probably buy whichever one from B+H so I can use my Paybo card and save the tax (as long as I pay it off all at once)

I have the a95L and it’s perfect for watching 4k hdr content or 4k blu ray movies. If you are mainly gaming, get the g4. Because it’s 6 milliseconds faster than a95L. I compared my lg c2 and a95L on gaming and couldn’t tell the difference unless you’re a super competitive cod player your’re not gonna tell a difference. A95L also has better colors than g4 because it is QD oled. A95L has wider colour gamut and colors are more clean. And let me tell you 3d animation movies like Pixar movies look absolutely gorgeous on the A95L. It depends on what you value on a tv. G4 has 2 120hertz 2,1 hdmi ports and 2 regular 60hertz hdmi ports. And g4 has 4 2,1 120 hertz hdmi ports. If you want the best value out of your money get the g4. But if you want absolute best picture quality on a tv, get the A95L. I wanted the absolute best picture quality because I am a sucker for all the details in the picture so I went with the A95L. G4 is second place of the best tv you can buy now rivaling A95L. Even Rtings said that A95L is the best TV they have ever tested. But it’s very expensive.

G3 has MLA and gets way brighter than the C4. Also the C4 doesn't have the new chip you get with the G4. Trust me, the G3 is way better (MLA battles with QD OLED). The C4 is not a premium OLED, the G3 is, also regarding color out of the box.

I think up scaling is important for a TV because most of the broadcast we get is still in 1080p. Sony might be a bit better than the LG G4 in this regard with Samsung S95d behind both of them. The G4 is now bright enough for a bright sun lit room which was the reason I took back a couple of LG Oleds in the past . The processor in the Sony brings more definition and resolution in the upscaled picture from 1080p but its slightly darker over all. If your placing the Sony in a dark room that's not of a concern. The Samsung is no doubt bright/brighter for some uses but its upscaling is not as good as LG's or Sony's 😳😳😳

You can use whatever you want that you like. Filmaker just tries to get the most accurate with coloring and settings to what was intended it is not the best setting for everyone. Just what was intended

I'll have to research this, but I'm curious why they decided to make the TV so thick. My 65 OLED C2 is that "two credit cards thick" kind of display. Don't get me wrong. I think it's a good move for longevity and moving it around, but ruins some of the aesthetics as it was nice and thin with amazing color.

There's no question that it's a great TV, but the picture quality of its predecessor is still better because it doesn't have this green cast, which is clearly visible on almost every G4. As long as there is no update for this, the picture quality of the G3 is definitely better

Dont know if the go for 55 or 65 inch G4 🤔 With todays tv's bezels so thin, i'm worried about the 55 inch size perhaps ending up too small 📺 There is almost an $1000 difference between the 55 and 65 inch. Also some of the European countries do not include the stand, you have to buy it separately for around $150 ... 🤷‍♂

You're cherry picking, when you say 100% colour volume - yes it's DCI colour volume is 99+% but rec 2020 isn't as high as qdoled or some leds. there's still white subpixel colour washing at high brightness which makes a mockery of the colour volume ' claim' anyway!where a good led wouldn't struggle. Gradation handling also isn't great. That said this is the best current WOLED for sure, MLA is a big upgrade in itself and a gamemode that's finally not horrifically nerfed in HDR. Average review, I wouldn't consider your knowledge, at least what you've shared here, as balanced or thorough.

The G4 is not $1,500 dollars better then the G4, sorry! It's just not. Put them in a room alone and you're not noticing a difference, so I stuck with my 77 inch G3 and yes, I have more than enough money to purchase a G4. But it's not worth the upgrade. Before anyone mention the 144 hz , that is better suited for custom PCs, which I have One that I built with a 4090 and I9 14900k, and well as a dual 4k QD-Oled PC Monitors setup just to name a few. So, nah I decided not to buy the G4. Too each it's own and I'm sure plenty have buyers remorse from spending extra money for a TV that is not $1,500 better than the G3.

Too bad PS5 is too weak to take advantage of displays like this one. That's why I advise people to wait until PS6 and RTX 6000 series come because then, 4K at high refresh rate will be a reality. Gaming on displays like this one with 30 fps on Xbox or PS5 is just absurd and even RTX 4090 are not capable of high enough refresh rates on 4K max settings yet.
