We have one. Love it. As with all appliances each have a learning curve. Washes well, dries heavy jeans well after wash. Best part put in a load after showers, dry in AM. NO more having to remember to put washed laundry in dryer.

Had issue with lint filter gasket was kinked, lg sent a new one. If it doesn’t seal you’ll get lint buildup on coils much quicker. Overall works good for me.

I bought the LG and love it thus far. I took the extended 5 year warranty, so I'm covered.

We bought one new from Home Depot; terrible experience. It arrived broken, made a loud screeching noise during spin cycle. LG refused to replace, sent a tech, tech said the main bearing wasn’t lubricated properly and because there’s so much packed inside these machines, it would require a complete tear down and rebuild to repair (on a brand new unit); this was what LG expected us to do. Ultimately Home Depot did right by us and took it back and we changed brands. Home Depot let us know LG is giving them a hard time about taking it back and that it’s stuck sitting in their back room. We didn’t want to ever have to deal with such an awful company when it comes to treatment after the sale ever again. Not to mention, after every load there’s a MASSIVE amount of lint, the rubber door seal is like a lint magnet so any time you save by not having to change loads, you have to spend cleaning all the lint out between loads. Running the tub clean between loads doesn’t get rid of it and if you run a darks load, taking your laundry out of the machine causes little lint chunks to get all over them. Great idea, awful execution, terrible customer service and support.

I’ve had it for about a month. I have to agree with the lint on the door gasket is quite excessive.

I’m only comfortable with the design of high-pressure detergent spray on the condenser coils LOL. This ensures it’s always thoroughly cleaned, and you don’t even need a lint filter ✌️

It would actually be interesting to get two of them speed up your laundry day. Put your dark clothes in one machine put your white clothes in the other or towels, etc.. and cut your time over half

Hi! Is there any chance you could do a really careful measurement of the side-to-side width? It says 27” but I’m really close on space, and even the smallest amount over or under 27” would make a difference for us. I’ve not found one near me or I’d measure it myself on a display. Thanks so much!

I wonder if anyone has compiled information about what bedding, clothing etc are best for these new Combo units. I know myself I'd be willing to modify my wardrobe to accommodate the improved efficiency of these units.

Thanks for the review....Have a traditional front load LG washer + separate dryer....been excellent (4 years anyway). Considering one of the all n one LG (like in this review) as an extra separate unit. Where I would locate it only have 220V. Your experience w/ Miele adapter that Converts NEMA 14-30 Outlet Into Two NEMA 5-15 Outlets? Nice to get impartial appliance reviews with actual servicing data backing from your company. THX again!

@dregenius 4 ай бұрын
That Miele adapter should work perfectly for other brands as well, but do keep in mind that you're effectively turning a 30A 240V circuit into two 30A 120V circuits with a common trip... Probably not the end of the world, but don't expect a minor overload in a 120V appliance to trip that 30A breaker.. massive shorts will, but anything mild, like a locked compressor or maybe something jammed in the basket that causes, say, 25 or 30A of current draw, runs the risk of overheating the 16awg wire in the 120V machines, since they expect a 15 or 20A circuit. That said, any decent appliance will also have its own internal fuses or resettable current interrupters, since most 20A breakers won't trip reliably until like, 26 or 28A, if I recall. Would I use one of those adapters? Absolutely. Should you ask your electrician first? Absolutely. And then use it anyway because north american residential wiring and even our receptacle standards and grid voltage is horrid and basically a joke.

Does anyone have issues with the clothes not smelling clean detergent and the ventless machine leaving a smell in room and clothes?

I was wondering if you had heard of AEG's induction cooktop with a new scratch resistant matt finish called "Saphirmatt"? It was featured at a Kitchen and Bath show in the UK recently. Do you think scratch resistant surfaces like this will be coming from manufacturers in the USA soon?

Depends on who makes the glass. Schott makes most of the glass for every manufacturer, so I would say yes.

How's the reliability of the smaller version (2.6 cu ft) of this combo that's been around a bit longer? Any issues cleaning out the lint trap?
@Xizervexius

I put one of those in my moms new granny suite, been working great for about a year now. Only issue we had, which was user error, was not screwing the lint trap back in tight in enough and getting a rather exciting water leak.

LG's combo *should* have a pretty good shot at having solved that issue since it has their self-cleaning condenser (sprays the condenser with water to rinse any lint particles off) which the GE doesn't do. My experience with LG's DLHC1455 has been superb - only ran one condenser cleaning in the two years I've owned it, and have not noticed increased dry times nor increased electricity consumption (as monitored by an Emporia Vue)... so *yes* they did solve the problem, but you're too busy blowing 6,000 watts of heat out of a 4 inch hole in the wall to notice. :)

I have an LG combo and I have had it about 5 months and it was the biggest mistake I bought. I'm hating it. I have 3 labs and if you have dogs DO NOT BUY THIS!!! It now takes all day for my clothes to dry, I'll be calling for service to see what's wrong with the machine. I'm ready to buy a standard washer and dryer and throw this in the dumpster

Heat pump is what will fail on these washers. LG has a lawsuit against them for their compressors. I'd rather get the GE. However, it won't fit going up my stairs while the LG would. I could get the GE and disassemble it in pieces to get it up the stairs, but I'm waiting to see what Whirlpool comes up with.
@dregenius

The heat pump in this does not use the FLA "linear compressor", rather a standard LG reciprocating compressor, which are by far one of the most reliable in the industry. Even if it failed in 5 years, it would have saved an insane amount of electricity compared to a 6,000 watt hair dryer that just blows all that heat out of a 4" hole in the wall... Americans really fail to realize just how mind-boggling the concept of a vented electric clothes dryer is. They've been illegal in Switzerland since 96, imagine if every country saw the light...

@@dregenius If I could I would use propane, it is much cheaper here than it is in Europe or Canada. But I need one of these because I only have a 120V hookup with water and drain. I also don't have a way to put a dryer vent in, nor do I have the space for something like the LG wash tower. I live in an RV.
