CORRECTION: We made a mistake in that the other wash cycles can be rolled over into the dry cycle if it is manually selected before the cycle starts, we still think more than 2 of them should be defaulted to just roll-over but it's still a nice feature we overlooked. We will discuss more about these features in some follow-up videos.

I bought one a month ago loved the concept, the one problem I had with it that if you have pets more than 1 I wouldn't recommend it. We have 4 dogs and washing the blankets they lay on didn't get it clean took a little hair off and that's it very little in the lint trap and the gasket for the lint trap was deformed and more hair ended up on the fins inside of the unit (fire Hazzard) plus all the hair around the door gasket was horrible so after our 48 hours to test it we called Home depot and returned it thinking something was wrong with the lint trap, so a few days later they came with a new one and before they took it in the house I looked at the lint trap and same thing told them to take it back. So now we are getting the LG WashTower.

We ran into that same issue with our test, so we would agree that those with pets should definitely consider that before buying. Thanks for sharing!

Just got mine and I am quite happy after four loads with different types of clothes and bedding. I will start doing towel only washes/dries, however, as when I did a mixed load with towels included, it took about 4 hours to finish, versus 2.5 hours for just clothing. Did a queen comforter with an extra rinse cycle and it took three hours total and came out feeling warm and very dry.

Glad to hear you're happy with it so far! That's not a bad idea, doing towels separate. In our experience mixed loads also took a very long time to dry. Thanks for watching!

I have the new LG unit - it work s great - yes drying time is a little longer - start it night (time delay 2-3hours ) use quiet night mode - don’t hear anything- bedroom is 10’ away very quiet - clothes are done in morning- and no issues with lint or dog hair I would definitely buy again - maybe I’ll add a second unit it the future-

Love mine. I do 3 loads a week since it's just me. If your single and do limited wash and dry cycles, this is perfect. No lint problems or issues with buildup on the gasket.

@@BoulevardHome The key is maintenance. Cleaning the lint filter and condenser fins is very easy and more important, very accessible. Lots of open space, unlike the cramped GE all in one. Baby this machine and it will last.

Got one less than a month ago and it stopped drying. LG tech support for two days now is having me do a bunch of stupid trouble shooting that I already know isn't going to work. It's heating up and everything but it IS NOT drying, I might have to return it.

I would love to save space with a combo! However cant get away from doing 2 loads, one in washer and another in dryer at same time
@BoulevardHome
@BoulevardHome Ай бұрын
Save space or save _space_ 👽? Jokes aside, that's a valid concern many people have! Some people have actually just swapped out their washer for this all in one unit, so you can still use it as a wash only if you want! You could even run a load as wash only, move it to the dryer, and then start another load as a wash + dry and have both loads finish together! Thanks for watching!

Mine performed great for three months. Now it is starting to drip water down onto the clothes at the end of the dry cycle, and the clothes are not drying nearly as well. I am trying to have LG send a repair technician, but they are reluctant!

I have a LG All in One and not sure if I'm liking it, Just purchased it in March...First I noticed that when its done with cycle, the rubber around door is like a lint filter, I have to clean it every time , its like having 2 lint filters, is this normal??? Also I do understand that the drying time is long but the clothes are so wrinkled , my dryers in the past do not do this, also its like unwinding rope, clothes are so twisted and don't dry right!! Am I doing something wrong that may cause all this? Help! 😤

Question for you, I may be wrong, the way the LG is made compare to GE, when you wash the fins if the compressor, I think that even if its awkward having to clean from the top (if you want to create a table on top, its well designed to clean the fins in its natural way up and down, pretty sure that they could be fragile and if you stick stuff in like GE or samsung you could potentially bend a few fins making it less and less efficient. Am I correct? I am looking at it because I am alone and often forget to change washer to dryer... I can run it during the night where the electricity rates are good and stay away from peak prices. Thank you all of you for your comment it helps making a good decision.

The lint filter being on top definitely restricts what you can place on top of this unit, correct. That is one downside. In terms of cleaning the compressor, it doesn't seem any more difficult to access this one than it does on the GE. Thanks for watching!

Looking to install this in our new 5th wheel RV that is prepped for a combo or stacked units. Saw this unit today at Lowe's, and it could meet our needs. 120 volts and no vent required. Any downside?
@BoulevardHome
@BoulevardHome Күн бұрын
This unit would be great in an RV! The biggest downside we ran into was just the long cycles, but time will tell if something bigger shows up. A concern that has come up with other all-in-one units is lint buildup on the condenser coils, which just means it requires a bit of annoying maintenance to clean those up. Other than that, there are just the little details mentioned in the video. Thanks for watching!

A combo washer/dryer is great if space is an issue. If not, why not wash one load, put that in the dryer and work on the next load of wash? Bendix brought out the first or if not one of the first combo washer/dryers back in the 1950's. Machines like this work well in Europe to where most don't have a dedicated dryer. In the meantime, I'll suffer with my Speed Queen front loader. Boulevard Home seems to be expanding into our area, Las Vegas to where I caught a glimpse of one of those stores somewhere around town. Seems more like an R.C. Wiley. Probably not a place that I would shop for appliances but no doubt better than Home Depot or Lowes. Around here, it is Sub Zero, Wolf & Miele.

You're absolutely correct, we did just open a store in Las Vegas! We have a great showroom with more than just appliances (we also sell furniture and mattresses). We'd love to help you out with any of those needs next time they come up, so always feel free to walk on in, thanks for watching!

@@BoulevardHome I am sure that you have lovely furniture and mattresses, I use a Hästins from Sweden and furniture around the house, a "certain" level that is custom made sofas and a higher end of furniture that is built to last and of a style that will be "current" over the long term. A lot of these "box" stores are mainly in the business of selling financing and the appliances, mattresses and furniture is secondary. Much like McDonald's; selling hamburgers is a sideline compared to their real estate business.

I have a query: My Bosch washer bangs slightly on the door when taking off during interim spins / final spins. And bangs when the spin ends Is this a warning that the shocks need replacement?
@BoulevardHome
@BoulevardHome Ай бұрын
Thanks for the question! The first thing I would check is definitely whether or not it was installed correctly and is balanced properly. It shouldn't be shaking so much that it's banging on the door.
@San-tp8ss
@San-tp8ss Ай бұрын
@@BoulevardHome it's directly kept on the floor. (in India, no proper provision for a laundry area. So, people just make do with available space. But manufacturer recommends that the machine be kept on the floor). Banging is not too violent though. It's balanced (checked with spirit level). Is it due to unbalanced load? If so how to balance a load?

I don’t think I could live with the time-based rather than dryness-based drying cycle. I’m still leaning towards the GE for now.

The LG does have a drying sensor, but it is a little confusing as to whether or not its being used when the dry cycle is selected. It would be nice to see them update the app and unit to include a timed-dry and a sensor-dry option that are clearly differentiated by their names.

GE has a five year warranty. Samsung has one year. It doesn’t matter to us as no one will sell any LG around here (southern Nova Scotia) as there is no one to provide service.
@tim3172
@tim3172 26 күн бұрын
Uhh... GE has a "Five year" warranty with many asterisks. A) Labor isn't included beyond the first year. Labor is, BY FAR, the most expensive part of any repair. B) The 5-year portion only applies to the heat pump C) The 10-year portion only applies to the motor. For the period of: We will replace: One year From the date of the original purchase Any part of the unit which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. During this limited one-year warranty, we will also provide, free of charge, all labor and related service to replace the defective part. Five years From the date of the original purchase The sealed heat pump drying system (compressor, condenser, evaporator and all connecting tubing) which fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship. During this additional four-year limited warranty, you will be responsible for any labor and related service costs. Ten years From the date of the original purchase The motor, if it should fail due to a defect in materials or workmanship. During this additional nine-year limited warranty, you will be responsible for any labor and related service costs. The GE does NOT have a 5-year warranty in the sense that most appliances have a 1-year warranty. A GE service at year 2-5 on the heat pump will still likely be a solid $300+. Also, thank you for including your "WhERE I LiVe" nonsense as though it's relevant or actionable. You could at least share where you claim to live so it could be useful for people.
