LG SKP8-S wireless surround sound speakers unboxing & review

Here we have the LG SKP8-S wireless surround sound speakers which comes with the receiver. It offers 140w RMS power in total. As I have a stand alone soundbar with no bass or surround units I always wanted to try these to see if they are any good. I have to say that they are not earth shattering but it offers near to 5.1 experience. You can pair these to any LG models that ends with Y. If you can find these at reduced price I recommend them otherwise they are too expensive for %30 improvements. Enjoy.

In the LG Sound Bar, in Settings by speakers, in Rear speaker output there are 2 options, Surround and Original sound, do you select Surround (mine is currently at original sound)?

I had to set it manually to surround. After that everything works like it's supposed to. Just needed some volume tweaking. You can do it in app or manually.

I have the SN7CY fantastic soundbar BUT when coupled with these rear wireless speakers nothing but problems, the right rear speaker has constant hissing and high pitched noise, a tapping sound to, ive checked the wires, reset it, reconnected it problem still persists, its so annoying. First i returned the SL6Y soundbar because of popping and crackling and bluetooth interference now these speakers causing me issues, i don't know what LG are doing 😭

I'd guess about 3 metres, but it's regular loose speaker cable at either end so you can just buy some longer cable if need it to be longer. Pretty cheap to get more if you need it.

this works with only a few systems not all it works with LG S90QY 5.1.3-Channel Soundbar | The Ultimate Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Dolby Atmos one button and it just does it once the sound bar and sub and this goes on it stays synced i dont get any errors

The adjustments and settings that the app shows , are also available using the included Remote Control . I will NOT install the LG Music Flow App . Did anyone else Read their User Guide\Manual ? 4 Remote Control "hidden" settings : These 4 "hidden" settings are documented in the LG user manual Press and hold Play\Pause Button for 3+ seconds to set BT Lock , On\Off Press and hold Info button for 3+ seconds to set Auto Power On\Off Press and hold Sound Effects button for 3+ seconds to set TV remote On\Off Press and hold Equalizer button for 3+ seconds to set Surround Sound On\Off in addition to the above , press the Equalizer button Once , to select WF , R , Treble , Bass volume settings . R adjusts the surround speakers volume level -6 TO +6 Press the Sound Effects button to select additional audio modes : Bass Boost , Standard , DTS-X , ASC ( adaptive sound control ) The LG Music Flow App seems to have No purpose my favorite setup is this : Sound Effects mode : Standard Equalizer mode from the Long Key press: Surround On All volume settings WF R Treble Bass are at Zero 0 main volume , anywhere from 15 down to 8 . The max volume is 40 . Press Info button once to show input signal status : Dolby Digital , PCM ,.. All the above is from LG SLM5Y sound bar
