Very helpful. I was able to fix my drying issue with this video. Lint was clogging the intake to the fan. Wish LG could figure out how to add a lint filter to the dryer cycle.

If the pump had failed it should begin to overflow or show an error number on the display due to always being full of water, as water will continue to build up. I have a similar model, LG 8KG heat pump, I found the rear air duct to be full of lint and when it turns on it blow up and blocks air flow against the grill on the drum. It seems to occur from over filling the dryer and lint actually gets back down the vent from the top, as impossible to get through from the bottom end due to filter. Stopped happening when less clothes put in. Worth checking rear vent first in case it's full of lint and blocking air. Symptom is clothes not drying and container not filling up with water.

Hi thanks for the feedback. I always find the lint by passes and clogs up the front if you don’t clean it regularly. Just finished recording an Lg I fixed had this issue it seems most 8kg and 9KG models have this issue. Bosch dryers too

Appreciate the efficiency of these dryers but my gas dryer is 15 yrs old and I have maybe spent $50 on it. These heat pump dryers are much more complicated and expensive to repair

@@askmrwashywashy Is LG washing pump same as that of LG dryer pump? Also how can I check if Pump is faulty? I removed the pump but can't test it.

Does this dryer have a float switch? I have the same one that keeps saying empty water (i am using a drain not even the drawer)

In a manner, it has two metal contacts which when water touches both it conducts and so it knows the level of the water. Simpler than a float switch and serves same purpose
